I am glad to hear I am not the only one that doesn’t enjoy contemporary romance. I feel like thats all booktok and booktube talks about and I think Romantasy is so much more interesting and fun.
i’ve read some amazing contemporaries, but I always find myself drawn back to fantasy!
I agree! I honestly could care less about the genre.
Fantasy is my favorite, but I often use contemporary romances as a 'palette cleanser' between fantasies⚡️
Gurl i just finished reading Queen of Shadows! And it's there on the display on your shelf. It's so gooooood.
QoS is incredible!
house of earth and blood is probably one of my favorite books ever, it's just so special
you got me interested in spark of the everflame and now I'm super excited for it!
it’s so good 🥹 oooh hope you like it! i’m reading book 2 rn and loving it so much
we don't have the same reading taste at all, but I still enjoy watching your videos so much! I love your energy and you're gorgeous
thank you!
Yay I loved Traitor Queen! Happy it worked better for you. And you have me so interested in Spark of the Everflame now.
i am so happy youre a Nesta girly. Sooooo many people cant stand her & I couldnt until I read ACOSF & I think the girls that get it, get it lmao. Need to do a re read again !
Love it ⚡ You have the same reading tastes as me so I love discovering a new recommendation❣
love love love love
Hi, I've been thinking about getting into the bridge kingdom series and you might have just sold me! I just started my own book tube channel and it makes me even more excited to see what other have accomplished! You're such a great inspiration! 🩵🩵
⚡️ I’ve noticed I’m also not really into contemporary romance. It pretty much has to have some form of fantasy in it!
the ever king and the ever queen was juat great. loved them.
i’m so excited to read the ever queen!
The Britney Spears book was also my first book of the year! I started chestnut springs in Jan and I am loving it. I think my favorite book of the month was My Husband by Maud Ventura, Uggh it was so good I'm still thinking about it.
Hoping to see to you read The Aurelian Cycle soon 🤞🏻
Thanks for another great video! ⚡️
Can't wait to see what you think ar The North Queen. I have just started it and so far i 💗 it. The writing and storytelling is exquisite. ✨🦄✨
I stand by the writing being great but i didn't love this as much as i thought I would. Xx I aslo tried Rain of Shadows and Endings and i really didn't like this. The writing is not great and this book is very dark. Can't wait to see what you think. Xx
I‘ve heard that Talia Hibbert‘s romance books are really good! ( I haven’t personally read them yet so I can‘t recommend or not recommend them but I‘ve heard them repeatedly recommend by people who don’t usually love contemporary romance)
I am definitely super picky about contemporary romance. There has to be a really good reason for me to pick one up, like certain hooks. I liked Ruthless Vows really well, but it's definitely a very different story from Divine Rivals and not as strong. (Letters of Enchantment series if you wanna know, haha)
I felt the same way about Ruthless Vows 😢
I love the parent trap movie
it’s SO good!
Your recommendations are always 🔥! You need to read sword catcher I wanna hear your review on it 😊
I was also a bit disappointed with ruthless vows but I still love Roman and Iris❤❤
roman and iris are everything!! 🩷
I didn’t do a re-read of the first two CC books before I read HOFAS, and after finishing HOFAS I did re-read HOEAB, and man do I love that book!! ⚡️⚡️
HOEAB is truly a perfect book 🥹
@@ravenhairedreader agreed!!
I've literally only ever tried to read ACOTAR and could not get into it, but I will try again. You and all the other Sarah J girlie's keep pushing me to pick up her books, but I'm wondering if I'm too late on the hype. I only own her Crescent City books and the first throne of glass book. Can I even start there? I'm on a restricted budget right now and can't buy any more books. Love your videos!
It's been over a week since I finished HOFAS and I'm still struggling with how I feel about it lol. The world/universe is incredible but so many little things bothered me or confused me throughout.
slay queen!

Just finished this new, original collection of fairy tales, entitled 'Sillies, Fancies, and Trifles' - its perfect for the season. What's everyone else reading, I want some more recommendations to add to the lovely ones here. Keep up the beautiful videos :)
Hi, I’m reading bunny and rereading keeping 13 at the moment! I’m not too far into bunny but it’s definitely peaking my interest.
i'm scared to read ruthless vows now i haven't seen the best reviews of it i still hope i love it 🥺
i hope you do too ☺️ roman and iris are such great characters 🩷
i actually loved ruthless vows more than divine rivals to me it was the perfect book and ending so i do really hope you enjoy it 🥲❤️
Just discovered your channel 😊

Could urban fantasy be a compromise between contemporary and fantasy for you?
I mean…I am not a fantasy reader, I enjoy contemporaries more and I know urban fantasy is a good halfway for me (also please feel free to suggest any title if you have any!)
Maybe it could be a good halfway for you too 😊

I am very surprised to hear your thoughts on the Ruthless Vows, especially after you gave I believe 4* to the Curse for true love which has zero romance. Not to mention the plot itself, lack of love, meaningful dialogues and the writing style. Definitely everyone has their own taste, but it is just a good example not to blindly trust anyone on the book and maybe dismiss something that is worth reading.
i ended up giving a curse for true love 3 stars after i sat with it a bit, definitely disappointed me. but yeah books are so subjective, always good to still read something if you’re interested in it, regardless of how anyone else feels about it 😊
Ruthless Vows was such a letdown. So underwhelming.
