This video is very informative. Thank you for sharing. What is the location of the Airbnb you first stayed in Madrid? I hope you don't mind sharing that info. Much appreciated.
It is very centrally located on Calle Encomienda in a very northern section of the Lavapies neighborhood. It's 2 streets below the beautiful Tirso de Molina plaza (the plaza where they sell all the flowers). Many people don´t like Lavapies, but the top half of Lavapies is very different from the southern half. Calle Encomienda is a gorgeous & quiet street. All the construction should be done by now. There wasn´t much construction, but they were beginning to set up work on the facade of one of the buildings across the street when I moved out in Dec. 2020. There was an old theater that they converted to a hotel/apartment, but that´s done now too. Let me get you the link.
When I rented this Air BnB in late Nov. - mid December of 2020, it was $47/night. It is now $123/night. www.airbnb.com/rooms/29409648?checkin=&checkout=&adults=1&children=0&infants=0&source_impression_id=p3_1644704574_Y%2Fdq4uJas%2FKyOxFB
So kind of you for even having checked it out for me. Much appreciated. I hope your life in Spain or wherever you travel to is fabulous! Love your videos and blogs. Cheers!
Also, if you want to see how much we had to spend on the apartment we rented (and an in depth look at what 1250 euros per month buys you) check out the apartment tour video where we explain what comes with our "fully furnished, fully equipped" apartment. We still had to purchase about $700 worth of items for a fully stocked apartment. We list each item, the cost, where we bought it, and why we needed it along with tour of our apartment and some snarky comments and jokes: th-cam.com/video/DmyZWhanQ2I/w-d-xo.html
We moved out of the apartment featured in this video. This short gives you a preview of one of the reasons why: th-cam.com/video/lpkv2NK7Tlo/w-d-xo.html

Do you still stand by using idealista?
@@onthehunt-k7v i still use it, but use Airbnb more because I don’t want to pay 1 months rent to an agency
The ~ 4k$ it cost you to move in there - what did that consist of??
Hi Jessica, thank you for your question. 100 Euros = cleaning fee, + 2200 Damage Deposit (1,100 x 2 or 2 months rent) + 1,100 (1 months rent) + 150 utilities = 3550 euros ~ $4305.

How do you stay in Spain long term?
You have to get a visa.
