I just want to know, if the driver monitoring system can detect if the driver is drowsy, or is driving with eyes closed.

Great question. Eyes closed I don't think so, but if you're drowsy it should

Did you show how to set up speed dial from phone on Subaru Ascent?

I did not. Once you have your phone paired just click the star next to the contact name on the cars screen

Does one have to shut off the "Driver Monitoring System" every time that they start the vehicle? Or once you switched it off, it stays switched off? Really interested in knowing this...

late reply but if you turn it off, it’ll stay off. But you also lose the great feature that adjusts the seats to your profile.
