Mike Tomlin is the probably the only ONLY HC I can think of at the professional level, that’s not a loser, but doesn’t win the big games. That’s his standard, do enough to look good, then crap out when it matters the most, almost like the equivalent of Aaron Rodgers if he were a coach.
I felt him and Pete Carroll were same kinda MO, while Pete took the Hawks to the one SB win, that call at the end of 49 was literally franchise killing. I've said this before - Wilson...That can happen over a set of games when you are constantly under pressure. You start seeing ghosts even when pressure isnt there. Our offensive line more so the tackles have been pretty bad, but Wilson can't say anything or really do anything about it. It has to be on the Offensive coordinator to work around it with short passes in a spread offense. When you have a bad oline the worst thing you can do is try to pound it anyway. By doing this, you just make it so you cant run or pass consistently enough to matter.

Yeah, and for some reason I haven't heard as much criticism as is deserved to the line. A decent portion of Wilson's blunders have been on the line. They consistently get beat and have Russ running before the play even has time to develop, WRs are running some of the dumbest routes I've ever seen (I think that falls on Smith and his playcalling), so though Russ absolutely deserves to be criticized for his play, the line has been a huge problem that seems to fly under the radar as the QB takes all the heat. Even after this past game, after getting demolish by Hendrickson, they still seem to get the bare minimum of heat when ppl review this loss. The run game was underwhelming against a Bengals defense who is terrible against the run. The O line has been built by significant capital in picks, so it makes me wonder if it's a coaching issue, which wouldn't surprise me as Tomlin has never had a good resume when it comes to his hires.
The Russ stans are the worst, arent they? He wasn't good vs Baltimore or Cleveland the first time they played. He's had 3 good games, an above average one, & a bunch of terrible games.

Sorry, but this wasn't on russ. He had much smaller mistakes than previous weeks. He threw some great passes that were consistently dropped by receivers and the o line didnt hold up. Hendrickson was beating the weakside tackle constantly and the play calling didnt get you 1 yard when you needed it so they only needed 4 to tale away the middle of the field and 2 high shell took away pickens and williams. The whole team fell off a cliff in December to now. I don’t understand what happened but all it has been is the defense pointing fingers at each other and no one executing on offense. Completely different team now than they were just a month ago.

It's hard to put it all on Wilson Pittsburgh has one of the worst receiving rooms in the history of modern football (good job Khan). Now they'll waste another early round pick on a delicate flower that doesn't even see the field. And that basketcase Pickens is NOT the answer.
Yeah, and for some reason I haven't heard as much criticism as is deserved to the line. A decent portion of Wilson's blunders have been on the line. They consistently get beat and have Russ running before the play even has time to develop, WRs are running some of the dumbest routes I've ever seen (I think that falls on Smith and his playcalling), so though Russ absolutely deserves to be criticized for his play, the line has been a huge problem that seems to fly under the radar as the QB takes all the heat. Even after this past game, after getting demolish by Hendrickson, they still seem to get the bare minimum of heat when ppl review this loss. The run game was underwhelming against a Bengals defense who is terrible against the run. The O line has been built by significant capital in picks, so it makes me wonder if it's a coaching issue, which wouldn't surprise me as Tomlin has never had a good resume when it comes to his hires.
Good old non-losing season Tomlin will have a new record this year and that's the most one and done in the playoffs.
Oh boy, something to look forward to next season 😆.

More problems with this team than Russ. HC is a joke, defensive and offensive coordinators are trash, 3 huge drops by Pickens and a big one by muth at the end that would have had us in field goal range. If you blame this on all Russ your don’t know anything about football period.

Tomlin inherited a good team and did get a title, but that was a long time ago. They've been mid since, not having a losing season doesn't equal a winning season.

When Arthur Smith (OC)was hired it was a sign the season would end in flames. The Steelers already had internal coaching issues seasons before. That front office drafted Mason Rudolph, Pickett, to a low confidence/ washed Russell Wilson in which Seahawks players and Broncos complained about too.

Tomlin has been a great coach. I really do hate being one of the fire Tomlin guys but he is the constant. And he continues to say that we're going to change and he doesn't change and we even changed players in offensive coordinator this year and we still didn't change so if he's not going to be true to his word we got no use for him in Pittsburgh anymore. His mindset just doesn't win in the NFL anymore

Sorry, but this wasn't on russ. He had much smaller mistakes than previous weeks. He threw some great passes that were consistently dropped by receivers and the o line didnt hold up. Hendrickson was beating the weakside tackle constantly and the play calling didnt get you 1 yard when you needed it so they only needed 4 to tale away the middle of the field and 2 high shell took away pickens and williams. Russ cant throw and catch and block
