You didn't mention the "mini bug" that is in the 2020-present package. It basically collapses into what the old score bug used to look like. You only see it when there is a left slab or lower third graphic in.
2014-2017 is goated. They NEED to bring it back. I also like how it has hashtags under it too and when a team scores, the logo changes and the numbers changing like a slot machine is so satisfying and I LOVE it!
My favorite is also the 2015-17 one, especially with the italicized font like the 2016-17 CFP. My second fave is the 2009 bowl season one where they animated the logo coming together on a touchdown. I don’t think we had enough time to see what every school’s animation was for that one since it was only used in bowl season. However, I disagree that the current CFP scoreboard is ugly. I’d like it to be stacked similar to what we saw from 2015-19.
I'm pretty sure that the graphics will change after the 2023-24 season with the CFP expanding & maybe mix both the 2010 & 2020 graphic packages with some of the 2015 graphics.
ESPN 2018-2020 only takes up a little more total space than ESPN 2014-17 but you're not ready to have that convo because you just think vertical means less space
The true answer is that more information be be self serving off the bug due to its size that couldn’t on the other ones, no need to throw in l-3rds if you can do it off the bug.
7:26 as of the FSU vs GT game we have had this same garbage score bug for 4 seasons now. somehow they made a new one even worse than this for SEC on ABC though.
To me 2018 is the best. The one before it absolutely sucked. Wasn’t as bad as the first one but is the second worst. The new playoff scoreboard I think is good for what it is. If that was like that for the season it would be bad. For me though it just lets me know it’s the playoffs.
I disagree. I hate that sportscenter ass scoreboard from 2014. It’s too corporate and the touchdown animation is boring. I do wish the scoreboard would go back to the collapsed bottom right formfactor, with the design elements introduced in 2020 .

Correction: The 2010 scorebug was not reused in 2011. 2011 was the first year with the iconic scorebug.

it makes me a bit mad how they cut the logos off oh so little on the top and bottom. Just makes me a bit mad because it feels unnecessary
