INGREDIENTS:
Dried wood ear mushroom, soaked
Puff ball mushroom (hed poh)
White shimeji
Brown shimeji
Yanang extract
Rice paddy herb
Sticky rice, soak for 20-30 min.
Thai chili
Korean pepper
Shallot
SEASONING INGREDIENTS:
Fermented fish sauce (padeak)
Mushroom powder
Msg
Salt
Lao food ..to me, it is the best ever in the whole wide world.

I love this food, but I don't know how to buy yanang leaves.
Yanang leaves extract comes in frozen or in canned form. Asian markets usually keep the canned yanang extract next to the canned bamboo.

What is Yanang extract?
Yanang is a climbing plant with deep green leaves, native to mainland southeast Asia. In Laos its called bai yanang. Normally the leaves are not used whole, rather they're juiced or pulped, so that an extract is produced.
