the talbot subeam was a very nice car , in the U.S. mr. Shelby changed them in a numbered edition ,only it wasn´t talbot but chrisler with it´s badge seen in talbot and simca´s before in Europe
i had for a few monthes a Fiat 131 mirafiori ,road car only with the rally engine ,no inspections no nothing till 93, only they checked the lights , tires and the change wheels equipment, unleaded fuel? what?my 87 RX-7 was unleaded fuel in 87 ended up using lead fuel 98 octanes or more when possible. The Mirafiori , it was a very dangerous car the guy who kept it , after me crashed in the first month ,only the car was destroyd, in reality only the shockabsorvents were changed to manage 5 times it´s regular power , normally 1.1L engine, the 1.3 was rare to see , mine was a 2.0L with four big carburators almost didn´t fit in the engine bay, but we managed, as the rally car had more space and larger at the side panels for the bigger tires
the Mercedes 280, 350 or 500SLC is a nice touch to the rally cars maybe a 73 version or 74, lot´s of power but the front is too heavy, it did arrive at the last stage , a road car even being a Mercedes that at the time meaned something, wasn´t well changed for the rough roads, but i own one, was my family car when kids were litle
