    I have several products from Baby Audio, they are great, but this won’t be one I’ll be getting.

    I've watched several demos. I feel that in terms of "simplified" synths, both Synplant 2 and Fabfilter Twin 3 offer more compelling reasons to use and also allow more customisation/control over the overall sound.

    I have all the Baby Audio plug-ins (Parallel Agressor and Spaced Out are pretty much my go-to's) but this one's an easy pass 4 me 🤷🏻‍♂️

    While it may not be for me personally, I’m so happy to see developers making some new unique synths utilizing physical modeling now that most people have a computer than can handle it; and stuff like this (along with Arturia’s AUGMENTED series) makes me very excited to see what can be done with it in the future!
    Looks like another solid release for Baby Audio if you’re in the market for it! Thanks for the video man!

      Baby Audio is expanding what they offer and looking for new ways doing that. We can only applaud that :-)

      @@audiotoolshed Frankly I'm just happy to not see yet another delay, reverb, or god forbid another saturation plugin that does exactly what multiple other products on the market already do hahaha
      Keep up the great work dude, your videos are always one of the first places I look for opinions on new stuff :)

    Seems like a good synth for cinematic sound tracks

      I really dig its lower pitched sounds. But maybe that's because I love thick bass.

  • @jhamPlays
    @jhamPlays 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Definitely some creative sounds, maybe for ambient or electronic music but there's nothing here that makes me think I would be reaching for this synth to get a specific sound. Compared to the BA-1 where there are lots of scenarions where it is the right tool for the job.

    Love that GUI! Baby Audio really puts in the effort. Thanks Marlon!

    The presets sound pretty nice, but I personally care more about the controls. Especially if it's more than just a bunch of post-fx

    The gui looks like it could be relevant to macro action somehow

    $15.99 and it might make sense.

    I have BABY AUDIO`S BA 1 SYNTH, and like it a lot. I also love there reverbs, and delays. I love your reviews, and wondered what you thought about the Focal Shape Twin´s. I have the same monitors for about 1 year now, and love them. :)

    • @audiotoolshed
      @audiotoolshed  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the Shape Twins are proper midrange speaker where you absolutely get work done. In my studiop I have soffit mounted adams, and those are really a few tiers higher in detail, bandwidth and performance.

    • @DICARLOPRODUCTIONS
      @DICARLOPRODUCTIONS 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@audiotoolshed Really, I didn’t really like the Adam’s. I could have bought them a lot cheaper. My main monitors for many years have been Genelec 1029A’s which are not made anymore. I wanted to try a warmer sounding speaker with good midrange and bass, and found the Shape Twin has both. I found the Adam’s would tire my ears in long sessions. Anyway, we all hear differently. While people are paying thousands of dollars for the supposedly best headphones, and speakers, you have world famous mixers like Andrew Sheps mixing with cheap Sony MDR 7506 headphones, and Bob Clearnountain still mixing on Yamaha NS 10 monitors. 😂 Anyway, thanks for your reply. Keep making these videos. Very helpful.

    • @audiotoolshed
      @audiotoolshed  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      100% true, each has their own preference.
      Scheps uses those headphones as ''a'' reference. He doesnt mix exclusive on them. Quotes like that get taken out of context so easily.
      Same goes for Bob Clearmountain.

      Agree 100%, but the Sheps video is misleading, because he says he mixes with them. Don’t believe me, go watch the video again. 😊 In my case, my Genelec’s are closer to the Adam’s. I wanted something different so I chose the Focal Shape Twins.

    I've tried to use it but I can't get anything sounding actually nice from it

  • @Clasam09

    Very conflicted. Some presets are fantastic. Others are a definite no. I don't think BA did themselves any favors by putting so much Chaos (Detune) into the presets. And I'm not sure people understand that the can minimize or turn off the amount of detune.

    What's that BIIIIGGG waste of space in the middle? I like Baby audio FX/processors but not very impressed with their synths tbh. Maybe it's just me, lol!

    So what is the point of the central display? Just eye candy that’s a waste of space.
    The thing I don’t like about all Baby plug-ins a the pretty but useless graphic elements they include. Music is about listening, not watching a pretty display.
    This won’t be added to my synth collection. It’s for people who haven’t got their own ideas or who know how to program a synth.

    • @peterbondy
      @peterbondy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@l0rdw3rm I get the sarcasm and each to their own. For me I’m not interested in wasted computing power and development time for something that is a distraction from what you are supposed to be doing, ie listening.
      It’s like plug-in emulations of things like old compressors and having scratched and dirty front panels.
      To me if you need gimmicks to help sell your product it must be missing something important or you wouldn’t bother.
      As I said, this is my opinion and each to their own 🙂👍🏻🤷🏻‍♂️
