Maybe a higher density or something.

When the dark dragonballs were created from so much wishing they released a crap ton of negative power that was killing the planet and causing all sorts of havoc. When Okega shenron uses his ultimate move Gogeta infused it with his own Ki and purified it and shot it into the air where the positive energy canceled out the negative and made everything normal again. Then he immediately tried to kill Omega shenron only for him to just barely survive that attack. But then Gogeta's fusion ran out right when he was about to vaporize him.

A Saiyan must learn to transform into a Acended Saiyan (Super Saiyan) A Saiyan must transform into an Oozaru then Transform into a Acended Saiyan (Super Saiyan) while in the Oozaru Form A Saiyan must learn to control the Acended Saiyan(Super Saiyan) Oozaru. Then once in control the Saiyan will transform into the Super Saiyan of Legend. (SSJ4) Too bad it's not cannon. But I guess Raditz was right all along, that Goku cutting off his tail restricted him from learning to use his full power. SO I get it like this. Because Goku & Vegeta had their tails removed they could never go Super Saiyan Oozaru and couldn't reach the 'Super Saiyan" of Legend (SSJ4). Instead they learned to Buff up the Super Saiyan form to, SSJ2 to SSJ3 instead of doing it the RIGHT way. Man, GT did some things right. Went to the real root of Saiyan power. Not bad.
yeah, ssj4 is propably the only genuinely good thing that GT accomplished. its one of the only reasons i can tolerate certain parts of it and honestly i feel like if it was liscensed to say Madhouse it could get redone amazingly.
Then you're lost because the later parts of GT with Baby, Omega Shenron, Nuova & Ice were good villains that made GT good too. People complain too about the other Z fighters getting their ass kicked, but they did in Z as well as Dragon Ball.
Aside from it being amazing and strikingly different design-wise, I love how Super Saiyan 4 brought Goku's "Saiyan-ness" full circle, and also thematically ties into his Monkey King roots too. It broke the chain of the golden-haired forms in the best possible way while also still feeling like a natural successor to them, as if it "completed" Goku's past progression. Despite the non-stop parade of terribleness that _Battle of Gods_ helped kick off, I still really like that particular film itself and the Super Saiyan God form too. It was also "something different" in a similar-but-opposite way as Super Saiyan 4 with the way its design relied mostly on multiple very subtle changes instead of any big ones. The base-form hair shape, the slimmer muscles, and the fiery flowing aura helped convey that this was something new that worked very differently from the past transformations, while the visible pupils were just one last little detail on top that pegged it as one of Goku's strongest forms (shared by SS3 and SS4). It was a very unique form, and a very exciting one upon its debut... and I'm exceedingly disappointed that it almost immediately got supplanted by a bunch of zero-effort recolors. It's hard to decide which I consider "better" as a concept since they're almost apples to oranges. Power-wise, Super Saiyan 4 is about the maxed-out totality of a Saiyan's innate power, while Super Saiyan God is about tapping into a totally new type of power. Ideally, the ultimate path would be for Goku to combine both things-use Super Saiyan 4 to bring out all of his innate hidden strength in a tougher, optimized body, then use divine _ki_ on top of it as a "power enhancer" to completely break the scale.

Like he said, SSJ3 is a form obtained by training after reaching mastery of SSJ2. So yeah, we do can say its an acended form like SSJ2. And for that, i like SSJ4 the most until now. Ssj1 has to be a boost of one hundred fold, rather than a mere 50.
Golden Great Ape does appear in DBZ, not on a main character, but in a historical flashback. I believe at the time it's thought that ssj is only available while transformed.

Goku's voice tone changes w/ each transformation though. Like, it gets more manly, or deeper. He jokes a lot less too (unless he and "Vegetable" are fused). In both the Japanese and dubbed versions. If I'm wrong about that, feel free to explain. But, I know that happens. I may have only been 13yo-14yo, I always observed the minor things. I remember noticing that back in the 90s when he went SSJ3 against Jenemba (spelling?). And it was the Japanese version with subs. Which I got on VHS from a friend of who's was from Japan. I got even more when I went there. I still have those 8+ DBZ Japanese movies till this day. Even some episodes that series. All copied to VHS straight from Japanese television. 😏😎

I am very supersized it was not mentioned that SSJ2 was never meant to be a transformation, but instead was originally just a "mystic Gohan" style of transformation for SSJ1. Cell was supposed to be the last villain, and end the series. Just like Trunks said, it was supposed to be the true prefect ascended form of SSj1. That is why its only a more lighting and more standing up hair form of SSJ1, and not a single person says a word about it being anything other than a super powerful Gohan SSJ1.
Fast forward several years and legendary super saiyan is now canon and MUCH MUCH more powerful than the previously established legendary super saiyan form. Wouldn't be surprised if Broly becomes a relatively important character and has a sort of new transformation that ascends LSSJ at some point in the manga

The movies are non canon anyway ( piccolo, broken timeline ) I think the events play out just after the sayajins. I meant he was on the edge of becoming a super sayajin but you need to have a certain power level to go ssj .. So he had enough emotional "motivation" to become ssj, but was not strong enough.. I think the same was happening in the latest episode of dragonball super, trukns went to a ssj blue-ish form, he had the emotions required to go ss blue but he doesnt know how to master it (goku and vegeta got the form trough training with whis) so he went half ssj2 and half blue.. You are misinformed. The reason why it is called the false ssj transformation isn't because it's some half way point, it's because the official image of the ssj wasn't created at that time. As a result Toei Animation created the false ssj based on what little info they had on the form. In other words.. if the Lord Slug movie was made after Goku went ssj in the anime/manga then he would have been blond and green eyed.
Regular Saiyan Transformation gives not only Power Multiplier but also Cockiness of its user. Well, the case of Super Saiyan Blue is different to the fact that it relies on God Ki not normal Ki like the Yellow One's. Although the reason why they get cocky in that certain state is because it's Saiyan's Biology not something that only Goku obtain but every U7 Saiyan's are cocky.

I have a theory about SSJ 3. Both Goku & Gotanks developed the ability when training in otherworldly conditions & both were surprised by the limitations on the form when put into a regular situation. This leads me to theorize that the form is likely a result of training the body in environments that cannot be replicated in mortal worlds, like the afterlife or the Time chamber.

Despite the non-stop parade of terribleness that _Battle of Gods_ helped kick off, I still really like that particular film itself and the Super Saiyan God form too. It was also "something different" in a similar-but-opposite way as Super Saiyan 4 with the way its design relied mostly on multiple very subtle changes instead of any big ones.
The base-form hair shape, the slimmer muscles, and the fiery flowing aura helped convey that this was something new that worked very differently from the past transformations, while the visible pupils were just one last little detail on top that pegged it as one of Goku's strongest forms (shared by SS3 and SS4). It was a very unique form, and a very exciting one upon its debut... and I'm exceedingly disappointed that it almost immediately got supplanted by a bunch of zero-effort recolors.
It's hard to decide which I consider "better" as a concept since they're almost apples to oranges. Power-wise, Super Saiyan 4 is about the maxed-out totality of a Saiyan's innate power, while Super Saiyan God is about tapping into a totally new type of power. Ideally, the ultimate path would be for Goku to combine both things-use Super Saiyan 4 to bring out all of his innate hidden strength in a tougher, optimized body, then use divine _ki_ on top of it as a "power enhancer" to completely break the scale.

At best Goku started that fight with a base per of 300k, then, through his adaptive nature(which even Krillin has, as explain by Vegeta when they began the fight against Frieza 1st form), pushed his base power level up during the fight, but no more than 1.5 million was obtained as that muliplied in kaioken times 20 =30 million, which explains why Frieza was beating him while only exerting 50% of his own power(120 million divided by 2=60million).-If Goku really was at a Base power of 3 million, then his kaioken times 20 would have made him equal to Frieza when he was exerting 50% of his own power( and picking Goku apart). Ssj1 has to be a boost of one hundred fold, rather than a mere 50.

Seeing that Vegeta is just as strong as Goku and can now go Super Saiyan God Blue, a form that uses GOD ki and combines it with the powers of the normal super saiyan, its safe to say he can go Super Saiyan 3 .-.
Goku's voice tone changes w/ each transformation though. Like, it gets more manly, or deeper. He jokes a lot less too (unless he and "Vegetable" are fused). In both the Japanese and dubbed versions. If I'm wrong about that, feel free to explain. But, I know that happens. I may have only been 13yo-14yo, I always observed the minor things. I remember noticing that back in the 90s when he went SSJ3 against Jenemba (spelling?). And it was the Japanese version with subs. Which I got on VHS from a friend of who's was from Japan. I got even more when I went there. I still have those 8+ DBZ Japanese movies till this day. Even some episodes that series. All copied to VHS straight from Japanese television. 😏😎

I am very supersized it was not mentioned that SSJ2 was never meant to be a transformation, but instead was originally just a "mystic Gohan" style of transformation for SSJ1. Cell was supposed to be the last villain, and end the series. Just like Trunks said, it was supposed to be the true prefect ascended form of SSj1. That is why its only a more lighting and more standing up hair form of SSJ1, and not a single person says a word about it being anything other than a super powerful Gohan SSJ1.

Fast forward several years and legendary super saiyan is now canon and MUCH MUCH more powerful than the previously established legendary super saiyan form. Its bullshit. The motivation from what? Destruction of the world? We had that before. Also, WHEN should that play? Before Namek? Piccolo is there. After Namek? Goku mastered the transformation to a degree. A Kaio-Ken would have been better.
The movies are non canon anyway ( piccolo, broken timeline ) I think the events play out just after the sayajins. I meant he was on the edge of becoming a super sayajin but you need to have a certain power level to go ssj .. So he had enough emotional "motivation" to become ssj, but was not strong enough.. I think the same was happening in the latest episode of dragonball super, trukns went to a ssj blue-ish form, he had the emotions required to go ss blue but he doesnt know how to master it (goku and vegeta got the form trough training with whis) so he went half ssj2 and half blue.. Regular Saiyan Transformation gives not only Power Multiplier but also Cockiness of its user.
Well, the case of Super Saiyan Blue is different to the fact that it relies on God Ki not normal Ki like the Yellow One's.
Although the reason why they get cocky in that certain state is because it's Saiyan's Biology not something that only Goku obtain but every U7 Saiyan's are cocky.

I have a theory about SSJ 3.
Both Goku & Gotanks developed the ability when training in otherworldly conditions & both were surprised by the limitations on the form when put into a regular situation. This leads me to theorize that the form is likely a result of training the body in environments that cannot be replicated in mortal worlds, like the afterlife or the Time chamber.
This video is reeaally informative and nice to watch! I just wish this video was completed slightly later.. after Resurrection F for sure so Super Saiyan Blue and all the other ridiculous variations...
