- In Anthem, javelin suits endow pilots with superhuman abilities. Outside the walls of Fort Tarsis, this necessary tool enables you-a Freelancer-to explore and fight in a savage world.
When we showed Anthem to the world at EA PLAY, we wanted to offer a unique look at our javelins. What better way to do this than bring a real-life Ranger, Storm, Colossus, and Interceptor with us? To pull it off, we asked Henchmen Studios to complete the builds, and they delivered in stunning detail. Here is how they did it.

The team behind the Javelins- both in art and animation work outdid themselves with this game. Their work is phenomenal. I just wish the rest of the game was as good.

Is there anyone that you can pay to make a javelin for you? Because Ive been playing anthem and it's been great so I was thinking of making myself one but realised I don't have the resources to do that and coincidentally, I came across this video and it then got me thinking that there's got to be someone out there so could someone please refer someone else that could do this please?

I always found it amazing when they build these armors with a sense of reality, not just throwing together what looks cool, but would be impractical.

I have my doubts, but if you can put a Bioware spin on a Warframe/Destiny type game, and give the rich narrative of your solo gameplay part too, then you have yourself a fan!

The physical crafting here is good but the armor looks like a million other over-designed sci-fi combat suits you can find by just image browsing on Google.

And still there is no game with such design, don't see problem here.
Design is generic for random arts and magazine cover. But beside Deus Ex i can't remember same style in sci-fi games.

Of course arms can't be long like in the game for the reasons you said, the fact is that the legs look a bit too long. They are still pretty cool of course.
@Garrett Carey I don't think the costumes are the issue, I think the issue is trying to get actors to walk around comfortably on their tippy toes on stilts. So of course the legs on the costumes "look" longer then the game because in the game the models can crouch more, if that makes sense at all.

Mass Effect Battle Royale with 5 different species and the last one standing will become the next Specter. Then after that the story progress, meaning if you lose, you can't advance the story and only the player that win will get their next Mass Effect campaign unlocked.

Gameplay-wise i see alot of similarities with Borderlands, actually.
The pick-up health, weapons, the enemy...they look alot like some kind of "psyco guy with metal armor"
Dave Junkjet im thinkin more in the loot, shoot and grind with a massive community aspect. Though, you do have archwing and frames like zephyr that can basically fly with certain builds and titania that can actually fly with her abilities. But yea, mostly the first bit.

I'm seriously getting tired of...well what do we call them opposite of fanboys? Not haters because that implies I'm the type who just disavows all criticism of something I enjoy and label them all haters petulantly. But literally every video you have the type who scream and wail that it's going to be trash and awful simply because of who is involved in it.
Yes, Bioware screwed up ME:A. So fucking what? Game companies make mistakes. That doesn't mean that every game they make in the future is going to be bad. They even closed down the studio that made it for crying out loud. And yes, EA is publishing it. Again, so what? Because microtransactions? There's few games out there now that don't use them and it's not going away. And frankly whilst I'll never preorder an EA game without first seeing what other people find in the released game, I've actually got a new appreciation for publishers I never had before with the Star Citizen clusterfuck. Publishers keep on creators back so that artistic vision actually turns into a game they can sell and people can enjoy. Star Citizen with it's kickstarter funding has turned into a glorified tech demo charging players hundreds to thousands of $$$ to get a single ship so they can keep the money train rolling and never release a full game.
I'll probably get some salty reply for that last point.

It's not that Bioware "screwed up" they took against all warnings a step in the wrong direction and rightfully got shunned for it. and EA deserves every inch of hate that comes against them. it is good, that people point it out in the comments as hard as they can, because for as long as there are ignorant fools, who blindly pre-order shit, throw their money out the window and cheer for yet another half-assed game (+ DLC's of course, don't forget those!), then nothing will change! no, things will get worse even, because developers and companies like EA will only get the feedback: "yea, you can do what you want... we will buy your shit anyway" from such actions.

I also liked it. I grew past the early animation bug and beyond that the story is still good for me. To be honest, I like the action way better than the first trilogy. Yeah sure that people could argue the story of the trilogy of Shepard is way better, but this is a game, not a novel and/or a movie! Between those FMV sequence and story scene, there exist a gameplay that you have to go through, enemies you have to kill to reach the next point of FMV sequence and story scene. If the in between of those scene is boring, I might as well go to TH-cam just to watch all those FMV sequence and story scene. For me, Andromeda gameplay and action is a blast, the combat is way better than the trilogy. In a game that you spend more time in the gameplay, action and combat more than the story scene and FMV sequnce, I could look past the barely acceptable story or the exaggerated rage of animation failure.

This game would have been one of the coolest games to exist, it still looks good amd plays amazingly but the loot is TRASH and anthem 2.0 still up in the air. Truly its to damn bad

Wish you guys luck and success with this game, but honestly it just isn't for me, this will be the first game from Bioware I won't be purchasing due to it being so online and multi-player focus which is a shame.

Elkarus they are working on Dragon age 4 and said they will do Mass effect again in the future. They are obviously not done with RPGs
They've already said you can play this game's campaign, side missions, and explore while completely solo if you want. Even everyones main hub, Fort Tarsus, is a solo hub. Not multiplayer like Destiny's tower. They only thing confirmed to be mandatory multiplayer is the end game Strongholds.

This looks SO AMAZINGLY AWSOME! But sadly this is Bioware and E.A. making this game. (Yes EA is the publisher) but they have their fingers in the 'in game transaction system'. The purchasers will be just as frustrated with this game as with Star Wars Battlefront II. BTW, Battlefront II was so badly received, EA lost close to $3 billion in stock value. Yes, that's billions in value. Now we have heard recently that EA has stated that in game transactions are here to stay and that you the player loves them! They also are insistent that in game transactions make game vibrant! So yeah, Anthem is a pretty online store with a game sprinkled on to make it interesting.
Actually we already did get a lot of info on how Anthem will be moetized and it doesn't look like that at all. Anthem will have an ingame store, but everything in it can also be earned via gameplay. It will also be cosmetica only, so no pay 2 win, and everything in it will be direct-buy instead of some Overwatch style lootbox system.
The devs also confirmed they would not split the playerbase via paid DLC, so all story, map, or gamemode extension packs will be available to everyone for free.
Hi Hellothere_1; If this is true, and if they stick to their word, then it's really up to the quality of the game, just like every other game. My issue is this; I judge companies by what they've done in the past! The direction they want to go and recent products. (1) For the past products, just look at Star wars Battlefront II! (2) E.A. has stated clearly and often that "Loot Boxes" not just transactions, but loot boxes offers them creativity and that players love them. (3) Direction they want to go? Monetization! There's a reason Command and Conquer went mobile, that's where you make the most in transactions. BTW I LOVE Far Cry 5 and they have transactions, but in no way to I feel a need to purchase anything. I guess what I'm saying is in no way do I believe Bioware or E.A. are being honest. If you're correct, then everything E.A. has stated in the past is a lie. And we know for a fact E.A. promises investors high profits from transactions in games. And investors are the real customers not the game purchaser.
Well, if I remember correctly, that statement from EA about sticking with lootboxes even after BF2 was made in the context of EA sports games like Fifa, not all EA games in general.
In fact, even in the recent past not all EA games had lootboxes in first place. The best example for this is Titanfall 2 which had a very fair monetization system. At the very time when DICE tried to sell us their pride&satisfaction crap with BF2, Respawn Entertainment was actually still releasing free DLC packs with new gamemodes and maps for Titanfall 2.
Also it's not like the infos on Anthem's monetization system were some vague hints by minor employees. These things were stated multiple times during E3 interviews, and then Anthem's Executive Producer, Mark Darrah did a Twitter AMA where he answered at least a dozen questions on microtransactions with very clear and definitive answers.
At this point EA can't really go back on those things without risking a huge backlash, and after the whole BF2 debacle they just can't afford a huge publicity fuck up like that again.
Very good points Hellothere_1. You may be correct in that the shark has been tamed, but I don't want to be the 1st to put my foot in the water. I'm also not sure how EA thinks when it comes to game purchasers, players and investors! They aren't the same thing. I believe their 1st focus is on investors. EA's investors are very interested in continued income from 1) transactions 2) subscription (cloud based online games). In a statement to investors, they want to move away from purchased games. So where Anthem is going and what's being said to fans and investors is somewhat mixed. EA is into making money. Games are simply the avenue they've chosen. It's not a passion. I'd buy their stock before I'd buy their games.
I have already told other people but stop making assumptions. Mark Darrah confirmed that the only microtransactions will be cosmetic which you can still gain in game through playing. So it's in no way pay to win, as well as there being free DLC only. All the story and class DLC will be free. Both BioWare and EA learned their lessons.

Dont like artstyle/design: nothing really original. These "Javelins" must be cool, awesome, epic and badass, but is just boring and dull cuz you saw almost the same armor designs many times in games of last years. its secondarily, tertiary, call it what you want.
About game overall i'm very sceptical because of what they released in a decade, hope they choose the right release window this time lol.

Dont forget UI can be changed ''on the fly'' and the AI, we haven't seen enough of them to judge yet. Besides AI can be tweaked too, what they showed wasn't a final product yet.

A lot of what some of your devs like manveer hair have said on social media while boasting there BioWare credentials with mum from the rest of the company makes me think y'all condone it and I don't want to support that company.

Thoroughly played through it on insanity only to say it was mediocre.
You do realize there is more than one studio in Bioware right? Once the heads of Bioware saw what Montreal did when they were given full reign of the project, they were shelled immediately. Andromeda was the actions on one studio not the entire company.
There's two different teams that worked on Mass Effect, one for Andromeda and one for the other 3. The people that are working on Anthem weren't the ones that did Andromeda. Stop being negative.

Those look somewhat cool irl but game is still just a boring corridor shooter with generic shooter mechanics. Its such a great shooter that during the E3 presentation all they did was draw attention every 10 seconds on how cool the jets are instead of, you know, the shooting mechanics. Let me tell you, they're not.

And anthem does not have you in small area's. These are places you can fly in.
dreman999 are you that daft? An open world is an open witld and a corridor is a corridor. I have seen 0 open world in the trailer, just corridors you fly through and shoot some mobs. GTA 5 is an open world. Yes you drive from A to B but you do so through an open world not just hallways. If you can't understand that just shut up.
