I've been playing worms since I was 10. I cannot contain my joy for how well the video game mechanics have rolled out onto the table. This is fantastic. 15 out of ten. They even found a way to put in "prod" and you can literally prod with your own finger the other worm or object off the board. Scatter die is excellent in this world. Everything is perfect. This is literally a video game you can play without electricity
This was a great playthrough. Thanks. Just waiting for my 'Armageddon Kickstarter' to arrive in a couple of days. 45+ worms to paint.........sheeeesh.......lol. Your paint jobs are excellent, it really gives the worms character.
@@Gerrcinn If I may ask, what color did you prime the figures? (It’s the first set of miniatures that I’m painting, and am wondering if pink is the best way to go.) Thank you!
@@thepaulchannel spray barbarian flesh, then make a 1:1 wash from Red Tone and Wash Mixing Medium. All from The Army Painter. That prime then wash step does all of the skin after that just block in weapons or other bits and pieces however you want.
Great video guys. I would also love a tutorial video for painting the miniatures. Ive got a copy and would like to paint everything but ive never painted before.
Really enjoyed the video, guys. I'd love to see a painting tutorial for this. The paint scheme looks simple, but after years of painting Grimdark stuff, I've no idea how to approach bright, clean colours😂
Gonna leave and comment to help with your engagement, and just try to watch this on 2x speed instead of thumbs downing because of how difficult it is to follow this pace. Watching because of the nicely painted minis.
Jumping seems like a terrible risk I reckon you should land where you aim, then flip the danger token - safe all good, danger means you scatter but are injured and end your turn on a hit or wind (and would probably treat a wind direction as a hit so you don't move so often)
@@Granite-ny8up I guess the risk is set so high here since due to the small map it is a big advantage if you succeed jumping. So it HAS to be a risky thing. Otherwise it would be done too often. :)
are you sure that you have to activate the first hex when you scatter with the baseball bat? I feel like you fly over the first hex landing on the second, so the mine in the first hex is not triggered.
I see that there are more than one of us in a similar situation, do you just have that doubt? I have many... have you seen the turret card? It tells you to place it on the board and point it in the desired direction, but what am I supposed to place on the board? the letter? because there are no turret miniatures...and, after several turns, how can you remember which direction you gave the turret? In short, many questions to resolve...
Been playing Worms since the first one. Feel like it was inspired by Gorilla basic game. Just got my kickstarter today. Do you guys have a painting guide by chance that you're publishing soon?
Sorry guys, I have the game (the collector's edition), the premise is good, the game is simple, but it has a lot of situations that are not clarified in the manual, for each turn it takes 10 minutes looking through the manual without success. And what can we say about the manual in Spanish, it seems to have been translated by artificial intelligence, full of typos and texts that confuse the regulations. The letters present the same translation, terrible and confusing. For now I don't recommend it. The game promises and looks very good, but it hurts me that they charge me extra for a manual in my language that is also poorly translated. When they fix this in future revisions, they will have a great game, but at the moment I have an unplayable game on my shelf. A shame, I'm a big fan of the saga and I was very excited to see it in this format...we'll have to wait. 😓
Hi! It may look that way at first, and some weapons are certainly based around 'luck mitigation' as a mechanic, but it's that rather than randomness. Your odds of getting the hit you want increase significantly by picking the right weapon at the right range, and accounting for wind - just like with the videogame. The more skillful you become at judging those things, the better situations you'll set up (or you'll choose a better tool to tackle a particular situation), and the less you'll be relying on any individual dice result. The things you can't really plan for in the original game are still here though, and use different methods to create unpredictability - crate drops, worm deployment, map generation, changes to wind direction, whether a mine is a dud etc. We think we've got the balance right for the majority of players, but everyone's gaming tastes are different - and that's fine!

LOL my favorite quote, "Why are you blowing up the world!" Great game, can't wait for it to arrive.
Guys you missed an ideal opportunity for someone to deadpan announce "Welcome to OnTableTop, We've got Worms.." at the start of the video.
Great fun. Also loving the painted worms. Seems it catched the funny and chaotic spirit of the original.
This looks like a lot of fun, with a tonne of random chaos that fits the video game

@@Gerrcinn please, a little tutorial and paints you've used will be greatly appreciated ! They look awesome !

one day, much swearing

Recieved my copy - looks great! Gonna enjoy getting this to the tabletop regularly
Can you show us how you painted the miniatures?
not until my KSer version reaches me because they're all painted now.
Loved the Mail Stirke shot 😂 now that felt like worms!
they did a thing ... with a thing and then that thing exploded onto other things ;)

Very impressed with this
If a drum blows up and the fire lands in a hex, does it damage things? Or is it only when a thing is moved into fire that it gets damaged?
Looks great fun. Did you paint them they look great.
yes but they're super simple to paint

Kickstarter due soon
Will it hit retail shops?
In September but some stores are taking pre-orders already. There's this version (in the video) and a bigger/more fancy collector's edition.
@@danm830 cant really see any news about it in Poland.

Hi! Some of our other board games have a solo mode, but not this time - Worms: The Board Game was designed as a multiplayer game (2-4 players).
