    Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.

That’s not admirable that’s because her parents lack of access to resources. That’s also why she couldn’t go to school. Hai! Im 22 and college drop out (couldnt work and go to school either) had to move back with my single mom, I have my own room but I still feel that discontent you were talking about. I know I'm capable of so much more and I've also been worn down having previously went on multiple business ventures to change my life around. I just quit my low paying toxic job because the weight of everything happening in my life was getting to be too much. I have plans for my future and what I want to do. I am so happy to hear we have similar stories and you give me hope that I'll be living a wealthier life in two plus years. I have been making peace with the patience needed to see my journey through. I can tell you for a fact that being beoke is more expensive because it takes away your peace of mind. I worked as hard as I could and saved some money on the side. Being an avid reader, I came across a report by Northwestern Mutual on the same topic and found that if I choose to put a lump sum into solid investments, I am more likely to have a higher balance over time. Being a novice at the time, I saw that as a queue to get into the market. That was quite the turning point in my finance.

      Back in 2000 I got a job offer and we moved from Canada to the US, so, we've seen both sides of the mortgage equation. Based on our experience, we definitely prefer the US. I recall the dreadful negotiation phase every so often in Canada. Here, I was able to lock in a 15-year mortgage term and didn't worry about rates during that timeframe. If the rates go down, then you can re-negotiate at a lower rate, pay off the debt and move on with a new mortgage.

    This is the first video I've seen from you and I just want to say THANK YOU. I'm originally from Arizona and moved across the country, leaving EVERYONE and EVERYTHING I knew behind. I left the toxic environment of my family and the mindset of the people around me. I moved to the east coast on June 1, 2019 and since have opened 2 businesses, written multiple screenplays, which are winning multiple international awards, produced and directed my first feature film with absolutely no money, and that was just picked up and is streaming currently on Tubi! It is doing extremely well and I have recently had 2 big newspapers publish stories on me and my film. In addition to having more in person interviews lined up, I am getting ready to film my first season of a sitcom I wrote and am being paid by other producers to write for them. My sisters refuse to clap for me. They will not speak to me or even acknowledge me. I had to give them up to find my happiness, and I would do it all over again if I had to. Still working on being able to be self sustainable like you, but you're proof that it IS possible. Thank you!

    I'm barely 4 mins into the video, and oh my goodness, how I can relate to this.... I'm in my mid 20's, barely making enough money, can't afford to live on my own, hate what I'm doing for a living, hate that I have to still rely on my parents' financial stability when I feel like I should be the one giving back at this point. I feel stuck, and not so much depressed but definitely defeated. I'm really just trying to find ways to make things different for myself now. Hoping that by the end of this year I'll have a clearer goal that I'm working towards with a step-by-step on how to get there 🤞🙏🏼

    • @vvonderweiss
      @vvonderweiss ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Living with your parents can be a blessing if it provides stability. There are plenty of young people who feel financially independent because they're sharing an apartment with 3 other people, only to find themselves scrambling to keep a roof over their heads just because one of the roommates had a falling out with the others and left. If your family is able to provide that stability, be humble but NEVER shamed. How do you think wealthy adult children live: off their parents. Use this period to invest in yourself with the same dedication and drive your family has invested in you. Progress is a process. You are only in your seed stage, with much time and the right nourishment, your efforts will bear fruit. Don't let anyone on social media make you think your stage of progress isn't part of your growing process. You are doing the best you can with what you have and know now. Each day is another opportunity - don't sell yourself short! Always keep an ear open to learn something new because learning what you like and dislike helps. Be committed to learning, not just in school. People who show discipline unconsciously draw the company of other helpful like-minded people. You will grow so much that the future you will be proud of how diligent you are now.❤

Always look at yourself as the north star, which shines the brightest in the dark. So, it is that when we feel like we've failed in life or we're not where we want to be, we are the north star that gives hope, life, & beauty!!
      You are ENOUGH, you are beautiful, you are strong, you are loved, you are brave, you are prosperous!!!💥🙏💛 Most importantly, Jesus loves you, & He created you for a great purpose. He has plans to prosper you & not to harm.ypu; plans to give you hope & future (Jeremiah 29:11-14).🙏🙏

    girl, I just wanted to say I’m so glad I found your channel because it is SO refreshing, validating and inspiring to see someone successful on social media who wasn’t either born into a wealthy family or already started with a degree, corporate job, etc. This video had me shook because so much of what you spoke about, I’ve been through too and could relate to. I’ve had my fair share of trauma as well and for a long time I’ve allowed my mental health issues to hold me back. I’m 25 now and am at a similar turning point you were, living at home and not seeing the progress I want year after year. out of all the youtubers I’ve seen your videos are by far the most helpful I’ve come across. you’re the first person I’ve watched who gives practical steps to achieve instead of just saying to “manifest” it. and there’s nothing wrong with that but I truly appreciate your method, advice and explanations especially with the core beliefs. I’ve done a LOT of shadow work on myself and I didn’t even realize that there were some last subconscious hurdles that I’m needing to get over. you don’t know how helpful your videos have been for me already after having just found them yesterday!! I went through all of the things that you just mentioned going through. I was going to class to become an RN, and stopped because the money, and stress of working full-time as a CNA was too much for me. I'm currently living with my father because I've been so depressed, I just feel like giving up and not trying anymore. Watching this video almost feels like a sign from God because I can relate so much to you. I just made a list of goals from one of your videos and plan to follow through with them in 2023. On the bright side when I lost my savings, I went through so many mental struggles that I had no choice but to start exercising. I would have ended my life, but because of changing my diet/fitness I have lost over 20lbs and am in the best physical and mental state I've ever been in! Now to start implementing those goals!

There will always be someone or something that tries to tell you “no it’s not possible”. Sometimes it can even be your own voice saying “it’s not gonna work”, but you gotta push through that. Remember not everyone can see your vision. And when something is trying to deter you, keep moving forward. You will accomplish so much more if you don’t give up 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

      To manage your money and achieve financial freedom. Start investing, that's the only way to multiply your income and stay rich always. I spent my 30's and 40's investing in stocks and real estate. That's the best thing I did for myself. Recently discovered crypto now and life feels more easier.

And I want to change where I am and how I am so much so that I can be a good role model for my little girl. Thanks for your story Alexis. When you described that you had to move back in with your mom & sleep on the living room floor, I finally feel like I'm not alone in this. As financially responsible as I am, life still ran its course and I had to move back in with my mom at 23 years old. I set goals for myself and accomplished all except one, which is moving out. Honestly it's so difficult because I have an eviction history and no credit yet. Me moving out will literally do so much for me because I have potential that I cannot tap into until I have my own place. Big potential. But it's tough because it's not the healthiest place to be mentally. But I won't give up no matter what.

    6 mins in and I'm crying - I had to pause to comment. This is so refreshing to see like an actual real story of like growing up in not the best conditions and generational trauma. I'm in the same position you were in before it broke through for you. I really related to the idea of what's the point in trying to try when maybe I just can't. I just want to say thankyou for being so authentic in your explanation. I was even hesitant to watch this BC of the way these videos usually are. And the idea of ruining it for yourself. I think that's a deeply ingrained, subconscious thing that can only be mended with awareness but it's not something we can judge ourselves for because it's basically hard wired into our psyche and dna to operate that way. I feel like every time I'm about to make a sale or do something great, I get this terrified gut feeling and want to ruin it because I'm scared of doing the thing. It's so frustrating because I work so hard and want it to pay off...
