Easy repair on a Craftsman with a Honda motor - one thing to note that isn’t emphasized in the video. The little key thingy doesn’t want to stay in place so making the alignment with the new pump is a pain in the…other than that, took really no time to do the whole switch and it works perfectly. It seems to be better quality than the craftsman I removed.

One old trick when dealing with pins like this is to put a dab of thick grease on the pin to help it stick in the slot in the shaft. A little grease there won’t hurt anything.

My Craftsman pump is vertical but is four bolt. I can’t find a replacement that is four bolt!

Just so anybody who watches this nose, this is obviously a brand new unit. No way in hell is that pump coming off like that FYI be prepared.

Why are all vids about vertical pumps shown with 3 bolt models? Mine has 4 (maybe I can use a horizontal replacement?). BTW, really annoying loud music!

The vertical pumps that we offer have a three-bolt pattern; however, if your pump has a four-bolt pattern, you can follow the steps from this video and it should install to the engine in a similar way. Hope that helps!
