I'm so glad you are doing this fleece series. I have been gathering my supplies so I can try to make my own liners with you when you get to that step. This has been so helpful.
I wish Australia had Uhaul pads ready to buy and are affordable. I'm trialing fleece, matress topper with cotton fill for the absorbent layer, and a waterproof mattress protector for the base as kmart sells them cheap. But I think your tips on what types of fleece to buy is going to make a big difference. Loving this series👍
I think I might do some experiments on different absorbent layers here soon. The uhaul pads I've been buying lately aren't the same as they used to be!
I'm not sure if you have something like that over there. There's a lot of places you can order online though, I'm sure some of them ship internationally!
ive used polar fleece for my liners, because here in the UK, im guessing that is what blizzard fleece is called. We dont have uhaul but ive used the furniture removal blankets/pads from ebay and they look similar and work fantastic.
I've bought the fleece that's more fluffy, will they work .?can't return it already washed it😏I have ordered more the flat pile fleece just need to know if I can use the fluffy fleece even if it was for the cage liner and use the flat pile for different sized pieces around the cage
I don't usually buy plush or minky fleece because it doesn't wick the same. I think the plush anti pill will work though, as long as it's anti pill. I haven't tested it out yet!

I'm glad you're finding it helpful! I love the options that fleece gives me. They take some practice and time but you can totally do it!
I’m so glad I found your channel! I myself have 2 pet rabbits and 4 guinea pigs.

Do you think your could make a episode for your series that has Aussie shops idk if I make sensw
Cotton batting suitable for quilt making is an alternative (2 layers).
This is very helpful since I've struggled to find an all in one in depth series on how to make fleece bedding.
Yay! That was my hope when making it.
I love the diy fleece series! It’s so helpful! 😊
I'm so glad you find it helpful! 😊
So many fleece choices! Wish we had a store like that in UK 🇬🇧😕

@@TheTinyHerd Currently I use the paw 🐾print fleece and old towels. I fold them both over as it makes double thickness. 😃👌
I’m early today! Awesome video and this is super helpful!
Thanks! I hope it helps! 😊
I am from Prague and we use abri soft as an absorbant layer. I finally got an idea which type of fleece to buy from yor video. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing! I know there are a lot of people from other countries that don't have uhaul available and I never know what to recommend.
Your video really help me because I want to get Guinea pigs most likely next year thank you for your time and effort thank you
I'm so glad it helped! Guinea pigs are a ton of fun!
This was a very helpful video.
Awesome, I'm so glad! 😊

That's great! I'll keep that in mind, people from outside the US have asked me what to use instead of uhaul pads so that's good to know!
Bunlady do you think a kylie bed protector would work? Just looking into making our own
In Canada we can also order from uhaul or go to a uhaul store!
Thanks for sharing that! People always ask from other countries and I'm never sure
@@TheTinyHerd just bought 2 from my local uahul storage!
Can u get fleece bedding that is already made for guinea pigs
Yep! I sell custom liners and cage sets. There are also a ton of people who sell on Etsy.

I would just try to wick the fleece and see if it works! If the liquid will pass through then it should be fine.
@@TheTinyHerd I will just use the flat pile fleece, tried this and it's to heavy ,,,thanks
I’m getting a sewing machine today and I want to get one more fleece.
Awesome! I hope this series helps 😊
@@TheTinyHerd yes!
I wonder, does cloth diaper work as an absorption layer
It might! I would imagine those are absorbent.
Do I need to wash the fleece?
I have a video in the series on that, I wash after sewing!
Waterproof Terry Towelling Mattress Protectors
So is anti pill fleece plush the same?
I don't usually buy plush or minky fleece because it doesn't wick the same. I think the plush anti pill will work though, as long as it's anti pill. I haven't tested it out yet!
@@TheTinyHerd for some reason my Joann only has the anti pill plush!
@@Xo.Kailyn that must be the same thing, my Joann has a full aisle of anti pill!
