He would have been arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest, and another charge of Consumption of Alcohol in Public would be added while he’s being booked at the Police station. Sometimes cops take their time doing the paperwork. No big deal but he can spend a night with some big nasty guys in jail. They love Chinese men. If he’s being unruly, he will be going to the hospital for a psychological evaluation so he may spend a day or two before he goes home. Meanwhile the arresting officer makes a lot of overtime.
