Glad the game is still playable at least, but not being able to play any multiplayer outside of split screen in a game primarily made for competition is a real shame, GT4 had LAN mode and thats still playable almost 20 years later I hope GT7 and any later entries at least get a similar treatment
This is why I have stopped playing live service or always online games. I spent years on Destiny and Destiny 2. And I realise that that will also be gone someday. Hell, D2 did it while the game is still _live._ I never played GT7. I never will buy a copy. There's no point. If GT8 is the same, then I'll never play the games past GT4 again. Everything was on the disc. I _own_ that disc. And even when my PS2 finally dies, I will just emulate it. There _is_ still a games industry these days, but it's all in the hands of indie developers who own their work outright. Even Nintendo, last bastions of complete games on launch, have begun to slip. Patches in Mario, paid subscription updates in Animal Crossing, DLC in Legend of Zelda, and let's not forget the travesty that is the Pokémon games. But these are all expectations now. It's persisted for so long that people have grown up with it. A complete game at launch that you own forever would be a novelty. At this point, it would literally take government legislation to force companies to make games the ownership of the customers again, and to ensure they get all the content they paid for. I hope they do.
You're in for a treat once it dies, because PS2 games profit tremendously from emulation in PCSX2 with anti-blur, upscaling, no interlacing, anisotropic filtering. Many games have a widescreen patch, and some have a 60-fps patch. It's like a free remaster. (And if you're a purist, you can always switch to software mode with the press of a button.) I tried replaying the Shin Megami Tensei games and Valkyrie Profile 2 on original hardware recently, but especially the latter has so much flickering going on, got a headache after half an hour. That's when I decided to completely move to PCSX2. Save states and instant resume are a blessing, too.
Really this is a direction I'm liking. Also MegaMan X Dive went offline recently, I hope the industry moves this way for the sake of preservation. Awesome video as usual bud, loved the bite-size nature of it as well. Cheers!
Hi all 1st question can you play Grand Turismo sport on playstation 5? And finally can you play Grand Turismo sport offline mode to play career mode without requiring Internet connection? Many thanks
Good to know it’s not a coaster, like the Crew will be in a few weeks 😢
Bingo!
you need more live action puppet time ❤

it is so rare for a company to preserve their formerly online-only game, that at this point I'm grateful it's still playable at all
@@Pyro-Moloch yeah, its great that they've done this but i wish it was the standard
Same here. And yeah GT4 was pretty crazy in it's tech.
Well, I'm glad that Sport is somewhat playable.
Also, what's the background music? I know I asked from your WipEout 3 review, but I need to know.
That's 'Anueue' from the PS2/PSP version of Test Drive Unlimited. Its a good background track.
@@thereviewden Thanks.
I appreciate it.

Absolutely agree on all points, my friend.
