thanks billy.. the stock music catalogue is dry af haha will definitely have to reuse these tracks for my vlog series 💀 keen to see your vids man! get them out there
This is inspiring, I have been struggling to create youtube vlogs/tutorials because of having only one camera and wanting to mainly shoot with that but this is a great reminder that I have a second camera in my pocket and need to use it!
Haha actually we did a video together the last time I was in Japan. It’s on my TH-cam channel. We also filmed a disposable camera challenge which is up on his channel 🙌🏼
Only found your channel a couple of weeks ago and binged the Japan Vlog in one sitting. Very keen for the new one, what time of year are you there this time around?!
Great video as always 😍 Not sure if you have a video on this already, but would love to see a video of you showing smart phone camera settings for different styles and what works well depending on the weather and time.
Thanks for watching! There is a pro video mode but to be honest the biggest strength of shooting with a smartphone is the convenience and ease of use. So for convenience sake I only used the normal video mode in full auto settings. The only thing I really set is the FPS to 4K30. Hope that helps.
Looking forward to the upcoming Japan videos. I spent 3 weeks there in 2021 and think about Tokyo often. I'm also trying to find one of the train station music tones to use for my phone notifications. I have them on video, but haven't taken the time to do it.
Hey itchban, how about a future Japan vlog with the Galaxy S23 Ultra? I heard that video capability is vastly improved so hoping to see the similar occasions using that phone👌
For more control you should probably use pro video - but i wanted to keep it simple and not have to think about it so everything here was shot on just the normal video mode.
I just got back from a trip to Japan and pretty much exclusively filmed on my samsung S20 (with some insta 360 x3 and gopro or snowboarding). I think I unfortunately got some dust in on of my sensors when replacing the screen pre-trip because there was a small black dot whenever the 1x lens was used :( Ruined some nice shots, but made do with what i could
My takeaway from this. As a person who is "stills photography" in the portrait genre, but is under pressure to at least put some BTS video work, a phone is a perfectly capable tool for that. I just need to improve my videography skills 🤣 PS: nice to see your Tokyo vids having met you briefly at Joe Allams casual meet-up. 👋🏻
Bruh. You know it’s a good vid when the 7 min video felt like 1 min! Keen to see the rest
yeahhh lots more to come man! I need to finish editing it all so i can go and travel again.
LEGEND IS BACK!
it only took a few years haha thanks for sticking around
solid music choice and transitions, heaps good
thanks billy.. the stock music catalogue is dry af haha will definitely have to reuse these tracks for my vlog series 💀 keen to see your vids man! get them out there
Nice video bro! Always love the soundtrack you use.
The day that TH-cam gets licensing for us to use all tracks 😭 I read somewhere that it is in the works apparently.
Love this transition at 2:48 🥰
Yoooo phone footage looking good! Keen for the rest of the series 👀
Haha who will post fire fest first is the real test.
Always with the beats!
haha runnin out of tracks
nice post and very informative

Ayyyy inspired 🎉
Let's see that tick next to your user name 😆
Very impressive shots! Welcome back. Never expected you to “collab” with Kohki, what a pleasant surprise!

Appreciate it man. For the upcoming series I was there early Dec - late Jan (winter time in Japan). Chasing snow basically haha
Great video as always 😍

haha that would be cool!
Babe wake up!! Itchban uploaded!!!!
Has babe been asleep for 2 years? 😂 my bad
@@Itchban 😂😂
So... did you apply any color grading to this, or are all these straight from the phone?
There are slight corrections but it isn’t too far from out of the phonr
When you're not pointing at yourself, Is that ultra wide angle?
Usually it is 1x or 0.6x when pointing outwards for me. Depends what the scene requires.
Hey itchban, how about a future Japan vlog with the Galaxy S23 Ultra? I heard that video capability is vastly improved so hoping to see the similar occasions using that phone👌
Yeah I’m travelling again soon so I’ll make sure to get some footage with it for the vlogs 👍🏼👍🏼
Sick video! 🔥🔥Which video mode Regular "Video or "Pro Video"?
For more control you should probably use pro video - but i wanted to keep it simple and not have to think about it so everything here was shot on just the normal video mode.
@@ItchbanThank you! I appreciate it 🙏🏾
Most dopeeee
Glad we met bro!
Thank you for sharing! It was very useful~ btw, do you use the Pro Mode for either photo or video? Do you also use Expert Raw to shoot photos?

It's so convenient to just film with your phone hey. Definitely less embarrasing than talking to a big camera and mic in public haha
@@Itchban Absolutely! Was real nice not having to worry about lugging the dslr around for quick B-roll
Mobile or camera, always killing it sir! Looking forward to the rest of the series
appreciate you fam
No street photo battle this time? 🤣🤣🤣
haha nah that's on Kohki's channel.
