    Thanks for posting video, AC light went out on my panel and BMW gave me a quote for 2k to fix it. Ordered the panel on ebay and I'll be doing it myself.

    I was able to use this video as a guide for change the whole aircon panel in South Africa, as my aircon indication green light was broken. Was extremely useful to me. It coated me 1500 Rand which is equivalent to 88 dollar at the time of repair for a second hand panel. Thanks for the post.

      Hi, I currently have a X5 F15 with the same issue where my A/C green light is not working and also looking for a second hand panel, just a question, did you have to do any coding to the vehicle when you replaced your panel?

    • @nzhang1012
      @nzhang1012 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@haseetbhaga9617 No coding at all. It was just a plug. However, I did damage the clip of the black panel below the aircon unit. So it is currently clipped on left side only. Does not make any difference on appearance.

    DIY is the only way to go if you own one of these cars, otherwise you need to be independently wealthy. I'm retired and maintain a 2014 X50i , 2005 Jaguar XK8 and Experimental plane myself, so that's the only way I can keep them up. I like that you are unafraid to take things apart to fix them. I've done that with all my toys and guitars ever since I can remember. Good job as always.

    Great video, thanks for sharing. I have a question re coding.. does a replacement unit need to be coded to the car? Even if it’s from the exact same model??
    Thanks.

    Actually the part you got from Europe is for the LCI model, I would have changed only the knobs that are ceramic coated and kept the newer models, coded it and get the white lcd font when lights are off... nice job though!

    Nice job. I woul'd love to see a video about basics of coding (especially on a e90). There is some quirks that i just don't get. But whatever the next vid is about keep it up

    The air freshener leaked onto the HVAC buttons. Ask me how I know...... 😕 Be careful with those as the liquid is pretty destructive.

      can you imagine how destructive is for the soft tissue of your lungs? People stay AWAY from these 'fresheners'. They are designed to make you sick.

    Hey, quick question, the green light above my AC button is out. Can I just switch out the bulb or do I need to get a new circuit board with less built in?

      @@MidwestNomad1 No man. I haven't fixed mine yet. I am living with it. I would say, just pick up a used climate control on eBay or the junkyard. Easier than trying to find the board.
