I know how you feel. With all kinds of hunting when you come in in the dark and set up it doesn't always work out. The sun starts coming up and you think, "This spot sucks!" Good on you for being able to adapt and overcome!
That the northern flight blind on your yak? I'm looking to get a new yak. I'm torn between the H12, the old town solo 119 & the T12. Don't know if the blind will work on a top water like the T12.
I have the same wind cover for my GP7 black and it will overheat in anything over 65 degrees. It will work very well when the temps get cooler! Love the vid and I enjoy hunting out of my kayak!
Well I added to the likes and subscribed to help you get to 100K. I'm going in the kayak for the first time tomorrow so I liked the tips. Nervous about being by myself in waders though. Filming is tough. My batteries or disc fills up before action always.
If you like smaller decoys for your spread you could probably stuff 2-3 dozen herters plastic deaks into your kyack. I bought some closed box one year cause they look amazing on the box. But got them home and they were small I ran the hens a few years cause they were just amazing but went back to another style of decoy cause in the area I usually hunt i had better luck with another style of decoy, not that these weren't great. But if your looking for smaller ducks that are super high imagine there the ticket.
Here in Illinois, we have the same thing going on. Stale birds, high temps and Blue Bird days. As you said just gotta keep pushing until the Mallards come hopefully!

I just bought a two pack of those foam covers for my GoPro too. If mine overheats I'll probably cut out some foam, it really only needs to be over the mic hole anyway.

What he was saying was there has not been anymore big migrations of ducks in his area since opening day its just been the same ducks that have stayed around since then.

I've been looking for one too! The Cabela's Northern Flight blind has been unavailable for months. Yak Gear has one too but it looks like it is still on backorder as well. Might just have to DIY one out of PVC pipe.

Hunting big water shed in Greenwood county this past weekend and my youth hunter filled the sky with steel shot. He shot a Spoonie and man because of you he was so excited about it. Keep up the great work.

I use a carabiner and just clip it to the frame of the blind
