FYI: These tomatoes will be used for sauces and put in strews etc. They won't be able to use for slices and add in salads.

If you don’t have a food saver, use a ziploc bag, fill it with your vegetable or meat, etc. and then fill your sink or a large bowl full of water and submerge the bag into the water up to the very top and then seal it! Air tight trick!!!

I do this before cold season. I buy any veggies I use in soups during the winter. Dice them up, freeze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in ziplock bags. So in the winter I can fix up soups without running to the store for whichever veggies I ran out of. I freeze my jalapeños whole and just dice them as i use them. But haven't done corn on the cob! Fantastic idea.

I froze my tomatoes as I got them out of my garden and they peeled so easy when I was ready to make juice and sauce to can. I cut the corn off my cob for most of them and just put them in freezer bags-no blanching either and they were great! I didn’t think about freezing the butternut squash I have. I’m going to do that today because I don’t want it to go bad.

I Love these videos where you show all your tips and tricks. I started freezing my vegetables last year, more out of convenience than anything else. I buy huge bags of onions and garlics, peppers, potatoes, celery, carrots, etc at Costco or Sam’s and then I spend a whole day washing chopping, bagging and freezing them. It makes my life so much easier when cooking because then I don’t have to spend time chopping veggies for my meals, I just pull them out of the freezer and defrost them with my meats and then I am good to go!! I am going to try your corn method and I am going to invest in a food saver this weekend. Thanks Kimmie!!

I soften one package Cream Cheese, mix real Bacon Bits and Green Onion in the Cream Cheese. Wash and cut open the Jalapenos, take out the seeds. Stuff the Jalapenos with Cream Cheese filling. Take stem end of pepper and set it back on pepper to hold cheese in. Put in Zip Lock Bags, and stick in freezer.
Very easy to make. No measuring ingredients. Just eyeball it to your liking. When you want to eat them, set them out on plate for a short time. Eat them warm or cold.

Thats a good idea for the corn! The only thing id have to make sure is that they were organic. Just a personal preference, I know that the bugs are very attracted to corn and most are treated heavily with pesticides so i don't think that id want to microwave with the husks any regular corn like from the grocery store. But i would definitely try it with an organic variety. My kids could even do it themselves for a snack.

I use a melon baller to scrape the seeds out of the Jalapeno Peppers! It's the perfect size to dig into the skin and scrape out the rib and seeds without disturbing the rest of the pepper especially if you want to stuff it. Even if you're just going to chop them up, the melon baller is the best tool for this by far...
A spoon is also okay to use as well but they tend to be bigger so go with the melon baller if you can!

Jalapeños seedless, stuffed with cream cheese, and wrapped in bacon! Bake in the oven or grill. Favorite BBQ south texas side dish with Fajita.

Another great video as always!! Have you ever thought of dehydrating some of your fresh veggies? I have really gotten into it this year and oh my word, so good. Taste like you just picked them. Makes a quick meal for us busy Moms for soups, stews and casseroles. Also saves a lot of freezer space.
Keep the wonderful videos coming. 💗

I have wondered about this, and this nagging question keeps popping into my head because no one ever explains it. Probably is the simplest answer, but once you have your vegetables (however many it took) to fill a jar, how do you go about judging how much to pull out to go into a meal....or as a meal? So thankful for any tips you may have.....or anyone else reading out there!

I hope I am wrong in your case but I learned the hard way that these come May from the same place the grocery store gets them unless it’s a mom and pops stand typically in their own yard. Maybe grow container veggies. They buy wholesale and sale at a high price as “ organic” or out of the garden.

You can stuff jalapeno's with cream cheese and bake them up in the oven for a popper type treat! Some people will bread them as well and you can fry them in a deep fryer, so good!!

Butternut squash- boil until fork tender, mash like mashed potatoes, rough with small lumps. Add butter and some sugar, couple teaspoons or to taste (my mom used sugar substitute-she was diabetic). salt and pepper to taste. Delicious!

When your de-seeding your jalapenos use a teaspoon to scrape the seeds and membrane out, much easier then using your fingertips. Thank you for this video I had no idea you could freeze whole tomatoes like that.

I make jalapeno poppers. Flash freeze and store in have in the freezer. Then bake off in the air fryer. Once frozen, line the freezer bags with paper towels. This way the toothpicks don't go through the bag as easy.

When boiling corn add a bit of sugar for sweetness and a splash of lemon juice brings out the pretty yellow color. Never add salt to the water as it makes the corn tough.
