One of the best videos. Fast and complete. When fishing tandem baits I prefer fishing the second bait inline versus using a three way swivel and a separate line, less tangles. I agree gulp is as good or better than live bait. But at times you can have small fish biting the tails off like crazy. Tight lines.
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Hey thanks!! Spending time back on the island this summer and this videos are great. Thanks for not making me watch a 20 min video and presenting the info in a clear way! Keep doing these please 👍
Thank you for doing these videos. Your way of explaining and demonstrating are the clearest I’ve found. I’m subscribed and looking forward to more. Please consider doing some on: which hooks, weights, and bait to use for various fish in different water or weather conditions. Thanks.
Jenna, maybe you or one of your subscribers can help,me. My teaser hooks that I purchased do not have bait keepers so the gulp keeps sliding down the shaft. I am going to try the rubber band trick but do you have any other advice? Thanks
True about the Gulp.. i haven't caught one stripe bass yet i have thrown Sp Minos tsunami talkin poppers chunking with mackerel whats going on just blues
I’m saying this with the utmost respect I think I pay attention more cause your so pretty lol I was the same way in school prettier teacher better the grades
Hey, thanks for sharing. Video is very clear. I have a question. I will be fluking in deeper water (party boat) and they typically use 8-12 oz weights. I wouldn't think using a 10 oz bucktail would be a good idea (or would it?). In your other video, you have the Chicken rig setup. Do you think that would make a better setup?
Hey can you give me a suggestion on a type of rod and line I should get ? I live in NJ and go to the shore alot and have not done alot of fishing in the last 10 years
Will this type of rig hold bottom on the South shore channels (I'm assuming that bottom jig head was a 1.5oz?) Reason I'm asking is that they were using 6 oz weights on the party boats I was on this week to hold bottom.
Using a rig with a weight is different than bucktailing. What you most likely saw was a rig that had a long leadered hook with a weight, that would be considered “dragging bait” which is typically used when seas are a little rougher to make sure you’re staying on bottom especially. Bucktailing creates a different presentation and is a different technique. There’s plenty of videos that demonstrate how! Hope this answers your question
New sportsman here…. At end of my line…Do I use a dropper loop for sinker as well when setting up my rig? I want to set up a bunch of these before I go out ..
Iaght Jenna, you got the knot tying down pact, you got the nice rods in the back ground. However i still yet to see you a video of you actually fishing or catching a fish. C'mon Jenna you doing good work but you can do better. i say this not in a hating attitude, no not at all. Go out there and get'em! I like your videos, wish you the best.
Mike Merc thats because theres 3894291 accounts of people fishing, that’s not the type of videos I want to make point blank period. These videos started off for my customers and kids to learn. Thank you:)
Do you typically use these off a boat or do you fish the surf too? What size bucktail and gulp do you use? Do you use any specific gulp? shrimp, swimming mullet, etc? Thanks. Great vids.
Vital Point in this video I was using 80 for demonstration/clarity purposes, typically I would use anywhere from 30-50 lb test for my rigs. Using a swivel is a personal choice, I personally like to tie my rigs directly onto the line coming from the reel whether it’s braid or mono. there are definitely pros and cons to swivels!

Cool that's what I do and the top smaller buck tail they see better and jump right on it. It's a great rig. Thanks for the tip.

I've been using that same clench knot since I was a kid 🤙
its a REVERSE clinch knot...
Perfect. Ty
You had me at "Get it wet first, it will lube it up and make it go down easier" 😄😁😆😅
What is the total length of this rig? Looks like bucktail, then 18", then dropper loop, then how long to barrel swivel??
Use your white finger nail paint to touch up the white bucktails….My husband steals mine ALL the time! GREAT VIDS!
It would be cool if you take them rig out and fish them and show us how to fish the rig too. Just a thought lol
hey great video, we use droppers for sea run browns in saltwater over in northern ireland, thanks for the upload 👍👍
Nice presentation.

I’m definitely no bass expert but it sounds like your reeling in too quickly try slowing your retrieve down
@@screwascreenname2662 thanks!
What lb line are you using? And I’m guessing it’s mono? 😎 or braid
Haha 😂 I know it’s mono
Any relation to captain barb of the north shore?
Wow this is useful thanks for sharing

Dudes throw themselves at this woman....

Are you joking?

He'll from Chincoteague va
👏👏👏👏👏👍
Just like mine but I don't tie direct to the bucktail I use a double surgeons so I can go lighter or heavier as needed.

@@jennalombardo2974 Do you have a tackle shop, run charters or something else?
Great Vid. Do you generally use a loop knot on a lure/bucktail? Thx
Great video, thanks! What make was that teaser?
Hey love your videos where do you get those teasers I’m in Jersey so they should work here too
Yeah, lubricating always makes it go down better!😂😂😂 I’m sorry.
Don't skimp on that teaser set up. Flounder will raise up, chase and hit that top bait in most cases.
You look like a young Barbara Streisand 😊

Too many turns on your imp clinch knot. 4-5 enough
How many oz are you using for your bucktail rigs?
What pound test are you using? Do you tie a swivel on the end? Thanks and happy fishing
