Mackinac Island is an incredible place for anyone who has never been. The entire island is a historic landmark and 80% of it is a national park. There's no cars on the island, like she mentioned, it's all horse drawn carriages and bikes, and walks. Every other shop in the street is a fudge shop and they all give out free samples. Good place if you like bats or birds too. It's permanent population is like, 500-ish residents last I checked.
