Oh and Tom. You are better off drilling some holes in the rimms, so that the water will pass through them. Thus wont stay in them and ruin the bearings😁
I've build one myself. And found this out by getting rusty bearings and stuck tires overtime🙃

Tom great job, love the videos. One thing to consider with tyre pushers is change the tyre if the wall of the tyre is wearing. I have heard of issues where small pieces of the wire from the tyre got into the silage, then eaten by the cows and stuck in there gut it didn't end well. They lost a number of cows as a result, it was after a few cases and vet investigation that they found the picecs of wire, the tyre pusher was the suspected source.

I think that peg on the implement is for rolling out big round bales for cattle. I do believe you would have to remove the tires to do that though. And that strange noise you heard when you went to start the manitou it sounds like a fuel pump that is going bad. awesome videos Tom! Hey, Tom.
I would recommend you to put the "Saltlickers" not on the concrete, because it is so agrassiv and takes the moisture out of it, so the concrete won't last that long and the super flush finish could be ruined 🙈
Maybe there is a possibility to build a fixture at the walls besides the water trough.
We had that problem here in Germany on a Farm...
Greetings from Germany, keep on doing your videos, we love them.

Hi, my thought that it was for unrolling plastic sheets over your silage clamps. We have a similar contraption but then one that doesn’t move hydraulic. But can pick it up with a bucket so we don’t have to get of our tractor.

I was thinking it's homemade too. Probably was something to roll out stadium turf, road fabric, or big bales. Goes in and out to pick up the roll. Someone welded on the wheels to change it's purpose. You should drill some holes in the wheels so they don't hold water. I bet the bearings are full of water that ran through the top seal.

  • @TheKot183

I agree with Brandon rolling out round bales you actually got a steal because you can do alot with this unroll page wire fence, you also if it closes enough could use it as a bale squeeze for dry squares / rounds and wrapped balage just make a couple adapters and you could have an awesome multitool. I'm kinda jealous great videos keep them up.

I see your new scraper leaves a little bit in the middle just a suggestion what if you welded a V in the middle out of steel and bolt on two pieces of floor rubber mats cut to fit cuz I see your doing two passes anyway maybe that would be enough to get the feed to where the tires catch it and get it pushed up to the cows and maybe cut down on waste? Just a thought!
