Absolutely love these videos! I watch these all the time as a way to relax and "visit" some of these parks. Are you still planning on doing a video ranking all the parks, now that you've visited them all?
I was lucky! No rain or flooding during or before my visit. What a pleasant walk on the boardwalk. The information boards were excellent. I was amazed at the history and variety of tree species. I hope YOUR trip to Congaree is amazing!
If you like Kayaking, it is a heaven - no where else is like that canopy creek - so long you can easily spend some hours/half a day on the river even if the water level is as low as 3!
Congaree is a special place, I have been going there since the early 80's. You should have seen it before hurricane Hugo destroyed so many of the world record trees.
This is why you do indeed plan ahead. Go November thru March to avoid bugs(still may have some). It is also necessary to plan.ahead if you want to go on a guided kayak or canoe. And you can't plan for the fireflies because you don't know when they arrive. Each to his own to know whether you will enjoy it or not. In my opinion, it's worth a visit. I'm up to 52 parks and more than half of these I've been multiple times. Congaree would rank pretty low. But I do think it is worth a day or two. I highly recommend doing a kayak or canoe tour and also walking the boardwalk.

Thanks! I'm glad you had a good time!
This is the one you visit during the fall. Beautiful leaves in November.
We are heading to Congaree in June
Have fun! Bring long sleeves, bug net, and bug spray!
Outstanding film and informative

One of the interpretive stops is a gap in the forest that was opened up from Hugo.
Love to visit there because I never been there before. Love to spend a day or a half a day there and say that I have been there
Yes, please visit, but not in the summer time or after a rain event :-)
@@JourneytoAllNationalParks What season is the best to visit? Thanks
@@matthewwelsh294 Late fall to early spring.... November to March - but if it rains, let it dry out for a few days before you go.

Sounds to me like you've visited most all the national parks. I'm curious which parks you would go to again? Top 5?
Stay tuned. I am working on videos like that.
For some reason, I kept on looking out for a peekaboo shot of an alligator😂
You should be on the lookout!! There are gators in South Carolina!
How many national parks have you visited so far?
He's been to all 63
