Very informative, especially for those who are non-hikers.

Thank you! I figured there are folks who don't want to do much hiking but wanted to see the scenery.

I think hot springs is the best non hiking national park. Everything is accessible by car and it is in a town so older people like my mom are close to emergency services if needed

You certainly don't have to do much walking if you don't want to! Great cell phone signal to boot!

The actual best national park for non-hikers is Yellowstone. You can easily spend a week just driving to various view points and checking out wildlife from the comfort of your car.

Agree, although I would go there during the shoulder season or you may wait for hours to park at certain spots. I went there in late May.

Yes, you can see many sights in your car and with short walks from the parking lot, but don't go during peak time / season because it'll feel like a theme park unless you go on some hikes.
Having said that, Yellowstone is my #1 favorite park.

I guess technically gateway arch belongs on this list but at the same time, really?

Gateway Arch was on my initial list but it got left out when I narrowed it down to 10, mostly because I never thought Gateway Arch should be a full fledged National Park (it was fine as a National Monument). I think it's the same as Mount Rushmore or Statue of Liberty. Nice place to visit but should not have been re-designated as a National Park

@@JourneytoAllNationalParks I totally agree with you but I guess technically if you're talking about "national parks" and you're talking about strictly accessibility and not thinking beauty or whether it even should be one, it's about as accessible as you can get.

@@travis303 Totally agree Gateway is the most accessible national park.
