@@Protonyght Personal opinion. The game is too easy and have very generic and forgettable enemies and Robot Masters. I even forget the plot of this game. Like the Classic games aren't known for their extensive writing, but they have some "gimmick" that makes each game's story somewhat memorable. MM3 had the Gamma story arc, MM8 had the evil energy, MM9 had the robots going rogue to not be scrapped, MM10 had the Roboenza, etc. MM5? Besides stopping Wily, I forget what that game was even about.
Huh, odd. In terms of story, I honestly find the first three games to be way more forgettable - MM5 at least has the Protoman/Darkman plot which I find interesting enough. While the game is not hard in the same way as other MM games, I wouldn't say it's too easy. The difficulty here is just mostly based on enemy design/placement and not so much on jumps with instant death, although it does have some of these too (Crystal Man stage for example). The robot master fights are admittedly rather easy, but that doesn't make them forgettable in my opinion. Personally, I will always remember this game for its awesome new gameplay elements (such as the changing gravity or the boat section) and its great visuals.
Damn straight. Mega Man 5 is probably my favorite MM game out of the classics bunch, and the music is a very large reason for that. Actually, the gameplay is also really solid. Certainly not as hard as the first two Mega Men, but it was thoroughly enjoyable for me.
Yeah really good tune actually! I think the music in MM5 is generally underrated...especially when compared to MM2. But songs like Stone Man, Gravity Man, Charge Man, Napalm Man e.t.c excellent tracks and deserve more credit. This song is really good too.
I'm pretty sure I remembered seeing the contest winners in an issue of Nintendo power magazine way back when I was a kid but it might have only been in the US version made game. I know the copy that I own which I've beaten many times the names are on the credits of the game. And some of the winners were from the US. I recant my comment earlier tho I still love the game and honestly any megaman game and video is always great. I recently added the emulator for NES games on my psp and I'm now playing AVGN vs Dr Wily and it's addictive
@@rassilontdavros3004 ya i think you might be right. it's been forever and a day ago anyways and these days I can't remember what I did two days ago let alone 25 yrs ago lol
@Link5646 Mega Man 1, 2, and 6 are exceptions to this. Press start on the "Presented by Capcom" screen to return to the title screen for Mega Man 2 or 6, or in the case of Mega Man 1, the stage select screen.
(Mega Man fights through Wily's fortress and eventually encounters and defeats the evil scientist himself. Dr Wily falls to the ground and tries to run away, but Mega Man chases him until they both stop in front of a cage containing Dr. Light. Dr. Wily starts to beg for mercy, but the ceiling of the fortress shakes and falls towards the group. Mega Man catches the ceiling and holds it up, and Dr. Wily chooses this time to escape. After a few seconds, Proto Man's whistle is heard, and a section of the fallen ceiling is blown away, allowing Mega Man and Dr. Light to escape just before the whole room collapses. Later, Mega Man, Dr. Light, and Proto Man watch from a short distance away as the fortress falls to ruin. Before the scene fades out, Proto Man disappears again.) (My version:) (Mega Tim fights through Terror's fortress and eventually encounters and defeats the evil scientist himself. Dr Terror falls to the ground and tries to run away, but Mega Tim and Mega Bini chases him until they both stop in front of a cage containing Ella, Ashley, Micah, Angelicka, Belle, Tricia, Bea, and Rhoda. I dislike this only cause if anyone remembers, half of the robots in megaman 5 were created from a contest which was published by nintendo through nintendo power. and there were winners whose names were to be included in the text of the cast of creators who designed them. Anyone can look this up and even try to beat this on their own cartridge and see for yourself that this was to happen. Not sure now if only some carts had this or not, but should be looked into. and if that's the case I am wondering why the kids that put their heart and soul into creating these robots didn't try to sue the company for false hopes of having their names put in the cast of the game for all of their hard work. so until I can see some proof I will keep looking!!!
The Mechanical Koopa Are you sure you're not thinking of Mega Man 6? For that game, there was a Robot Master contest, and two of them were thought up by Americans: Wind Man and Knight Man.
@Tanakun09 lol wily is still using money at megaman 10 he's got to have so much debt. He's gonna need roberman to steal money from the bank except megaman will kick his ass!
The "Presented by Capcom" screen stays on forever until you turn it off.
Mega Man lifting up an entire castle is probably the most memorable thing out of this entire game.
Protoman
Strongly disagree, I think the robot master stages are super fun and memorable in this game.

@@R.J.Crimson99 So what was the gimmick that made MM2 story memorable?
megaman "getting hurt by anything" is just a game mechanic. in reality, megaman is an unstoppable force.
2:11 currently working on One Punch Man
You _know_ it!
He also made Dust Man.
0:50 you can tell that's a very late in the NES' lifestyle graphic

I say the same
100%
Actually the reason why this game was easy is because IMO it has the best controls in the NES series. That, and also the most overpowered Mega Buster.
Yeah really good tune actually!

I've always like how Proto Man is right at the bottom right of the screen
Mega Man @0:08: “OK Wily; I’ve had enough out of you!”
Wily: AAH!
Protoman saves the day 8D. I love his appared theme :D
it's funny the way how megaman Chased dr wily
You can tell that he's pretty much getting fed up with Wily.
I know
Dr. wily: AAAAAAAHHHH!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!
Mega Man: Why r u running?! WHY R U RUNNING!!😡
Im getting Sonic chasing Eggman vibes
If he had shot Dr. Wily during that chase, the war would have been all over.
This video is 14 years old? Is TH-cam that freaking old? 😢
Haha. TH-cam was created February 2005
Have someone noticed protoman back when dr willy's castle explodes?
@Toadistheman1221 have you seen the castle in mega man 10? it goes so freaking high i was like how does an old man build a castle that big? he he
The final boss to this game was pretty weak.
Protoman rocks.

Part 2 is the best. All others stunk.
You can see Dr. Wily inside the capsule even after he jumps out o_o
Why does Mega Man's brother always have to hide?
I don't know why, Protoman just does it
Protoman's fiercely independent, but still wants to help his friends & family. Sort of like Hiei from _Yu Yu Hakusho._
good tune too.
Before you turn on this will stay back happy tree friends adventures 6 ending theme
happy 2013 to you as well!
he must have a bank account that has a lot of money. Or he hacks into banks accounts and stills money.
@mrgutchman I was only talking about Mega Man 5.
who help him ????
Protoman
@Sergei Kimura boi?
0:46 You can see who helped them out at the bottom-right corner. 😏
@Link5646 this statement is also true for Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4.
not really, but megaman still pulled an amazing feat lol

@Toadistheman1221 Yeah, Wily must be neck deep in debt! lol

WTF how megaman can hold the castle of Dr.wily if Megaman is hurted by anithing

These credits list a designer name for every robot master - are you sure these names aren't the names of the people who won the contest?

yuusuke did another robot master
If megaman can carry the roof like that, why can't he do the same thing against other things that try to squish him?
Because the logic of video games suck turds, at least television and the movies make a lot of sense.
Blah blah blah gameplay gimmick blah blah
Kinda sucks how short this ending was

Classic MM Best to Worst:
1) MM2
2) MM3
3) MM1
4) MM9
5) MM4
6) MM7
7) MM10
8) MM6
9) MM8
10) MM5
Oh come on, don't act like Megaman 2 was better than all of them. Plus Megaman 5 is better.
MM2 IS better than all of them. It's an establish fact.
MM1 is way too high on the list.
Why is mm8 above mm5
6) MM1
5) MM4
4) MM2
3) MM6
2)MM5
1)MM3
Megaman 2 is overrated and has lots of design flaws
