Gyeon have great leather products, use Mild Cleaner & Leather Coat for my Subaru Ivory light interior leather seats, helps keeps them looking new. Also aids, as Yves says, to remove any dye transfer every few months.
Absolutely not! It will have a negative influence and can cause issues. Q²M LeatherCleaner contains no softeners and is recommended before the application of Q²LeatherShield. Regards, Y.
I have on 20k kms on my truck. Im not a dirty person but Im getting a shiny steering wheel. Ive used different mild cleaners that havent got ride of that shinyness. Any suggestions? Like to get my matte look back
I would suggest to use Gyeon LeatherCleaner strong for a deep clean and then do a regular maintenance clean every 3-5 washes, depending how much you drive the vehicle. More info about leather cleaning you find here:: th-cam.com/video/5RHJgiuVymA/w-d-xo.html Regards, Y.
Just wondering if it’d be okay to use leather coat on seats with both leather and alcantara. Will the product damage the alcantara if it gets in contact with it? Thanks for the great tutorials and products!
No it will not damage it but it is not intened to use on alcantara. When using the microfibre finger applicator it’s not that difficult to avoid the alcantara parts. Regards, Y.
Hello, In the video you say that the leather shield doesn't bond properly to artificial leather, but in the comments you told a guy that it's fine to use in a Tesla with vegan leather seats. I'm receiving an Ioniq 5 in a few months with artificial leather (they call it eco leather) and can't really work out if the leather shield makes sense based on these two different statements. Any chance you could help clarify? Thanks.
It's a tricky topic to be honest. There barely is any natural (or as you wish "real") leather these days in cars outside of the ultra-luxurious segment. However, don't get Yves message wrong - both LeatherCoat and LeatherShield will work and provide an extensive level of protection on artificial upholstery, incl. vinyl upholstery used in the marine sector. Yves is just looking at the matter for a purist perspective and this is what he meant. Artificial leather leaves production with a factory layer of protection, just like the paint has its clear coat. Of course both products would bond better without this top coat, but it doesn't prevent them from providing significant protection in daily use. From our experience, LeatherShield shall be the product of choice for your new car. Best, Jeremy.
@@GYEON_official Perfect, thank you. Just one more question - the seats in my car are perforated to allow ventilation on hot days. Will the perforations cause any problems in the use of the leather shield product?
Hard to say as you many variables come in: front seats, back seats, daily driver, jeans, belts etc but from our tests you will get 12 months out of it. Regards, Y.
Hi, the instructions on the box say to leave on and not wipe off. The instructions I downloaded from your website say leave 15 min then wipe off, and in this video he says 2-3 min?
Hi, you can leave it on for 15min when you apply it very even and consistent BUT we have seen that the majority of users have a different perception of “consistent” and “even”, so to avoid potential highspots (especially on darker colours visible), we recommended in this video a quicker wipe off and a smaller application area to avoid possible issues. I hope this clarifies it. Regards, Y.
Hi, Sensatec is not leather, it’s actually plastic. This is not permeable and has different properties. Q²M LeatherCoat could be an option if your Sensatec seats are very worn, if not, just regular cleaning is the way to go. Regards, Y.
We recommend a fresh applicator with every new coating application. After opening a shelf life of 3 months is for sure possible when the lid is properly closed and the bottle stays in a stable temperature environment. Regards, Y.
Hello can this be used on a car where the seats are part leather and part artificial leather (it's an Audi with the centre panels in real leather and the side bolsters are artificial 'mono pur 550 artificial leather', seen in the video you say it won't bond to artificial leather so in that case would it only work on the centre panels)? Thanks
What would you reccomend for the leather in my f-150. It's semi aniline but already has a top coat from factory. Is there any products I can use or just clean it with leather cleaner?
If it has a topcoat already then mild leather cleaning periodically is the way to go. When you have the car for 1 to 1,5 year I would suggest to apply Q²LeatherShield. Regards. Y.
High spots with Q² LeatherShield are almost not removable, when still fresh you can try to reapply product and make the solvent blend in. If it’s fully dried out then it will need to wear off. Hard brushing with strong cleaning agents will damage the topcoat of your leather. Regards, Y.
Hey :-) 1 minute out in the video you comment artificial leather and not having to use to use Coat/Shield. I just got a Tesla Model Y which have vegan leather. Would this be considered the same as artificial leather? I have just used Leather Cleaner Mild to get rid of sun tan lotion on the seats and used Leather Protect on my Tesla seats. Was i wrong in doing this??
On your vegan Tesla leather, Q²LeatherShield works perfectly. Just make sure to follow the instructions correctly and double check with a light. Regards, Y.

Nice video. I used all Q2 productions on my leather seats. But I wanna ask you. Should I use leather conditioner before leather coating?
Absolutely not! It will have a negative influence and can cause issues. Q²M LeatherCleaner contains no softeners and is recommended before the application of Q²LeatherShield.

Can I use leather shield on Tesla’s vegan leather? Also, is it worth it to apply a 2nd coat of leather shield?
You can use it on Tesla leather but it’s not needed to apply more then 1 coat.

Can we apply this product on interior plastics?
It’s a LEATHER protector, not suited for plastics.

Yes. No problem at all.

I've used this stuff and it is very good. However, I believe instructions indicate not to wipe down once applied. Also, it says it lasts 6 months.
True but to avoid possible mistakes we suggest to wipe it down as shown in the video.

Plastic coated "leather". Does it bond properly?
