  • This video is how to change the spark plugs on a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L Sedan. This process applies to year sedan 2009-2014 with a 3.8L.

    Nice job and video. Only thing I would add is to put anti-seize lube on spark plug threads before reinstalling.

    Hey I enjoyed the background music. I would just suggest that you edit the title to include 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 explicitly so people searching for 20xx hyundai genesis spark plug will find this video. So maybe it could be "How to change spark plugs on Hyundai Genesis sedan 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014"

    Wow nicely done. But I’m leaning towards paying a mechanic for this. I though it would be easy to change.

    Get a spark plug socket! And if you are using NGK plugs, no need to use anti seize on the threads

    Changed my spark plugs and ignition coil for 450 last week at 106k miles. Had a cylinder 1 misfire

      Yes. I was afraid my Genny might develop misfire too if I didn't change it soon. 450 for spark plugs and ignition coil is a great deal. Dealer quoted me 750 for spark plugs and gasket replacement.

      Hey, I’ve been told that I’m having a cylinder 5 misfire and it’s causing my car to drive really bad, one I change the coil pack, is it going to run any better?

    • @dipjothipaul5868
      @dipjothipaul5868 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tyronmills8264 yeah could be the spark plugs going bad. Change those and if it’s gone then you’re good. If not then try ignition coil next

      Are you kidding me!!! SHAME on Hyundai Engineering to make spark plug changes SO complicated and expensive. Absolutely no need for this complexity. I love my Genesis but this is ridiculous.
