Another great video from BluJay! I've built this farm before and the amount of bones is awesome. Couple of fisherman villagers to trade with and its easy bonemeal, emeralds and XP. Love your work Blu!

Am I the only one who keeps looking at the collection chest wondering how the items are going to get into the other chest besides the ones on the ends? looks like none of the hoppers are pointing into the chest in the middle.....

Just started watching must say I love the library never even considered the living conditions of my poor librarians separated by trap doors in 1x1x2 spaces crammed like sardines lol
I really enjoyed the farm. I have one in my world from the last Fishfarm you did like that but I didn’t know that if I was to go higher I could get squid spawn too
I am trying to build this now and for some reason my minecart go so slow. I figured it was because of being underwater but can't seem to get it to go faster.
Must be something weird about Realms because my hopper minecart does not pick up all the drops. It won't pick up any bones and that's why I build this thing.
Minecart and rail logic alters greatly depending on which cardinal direction they're going, it is extremely frustrating when a tested device fails simply because it got turned 90°. I don't know if it's more severe on java or just that I hear of it more because that's where most of the technical community resides, but I know I've dealt with my fair share of it on bedrock regardless.
It's worse on java. Because of the fact that redstone on java is stored in a hashset, redstone update order can be affected by directionality and locationality
I think I'm gonna go back to this kind of fish farm in my current world. The last one I built I used soul sand and allays, but it's so noisy, and it's not really an early or mid game farm unless you get lucky with a pillager tower near your base.
Wow brain. I read pillager, while I was replying...thinking villager. But yea - pillagers! I don't have any nearby. Also - I've NEVER found an allay in survival. Going to have to make that happen.
A couple fishing villagers are always a great asset to any fish farm. Especially with the changes to trading discounts, they are a great source of emeralds
I kinda cheated on that world. I used the Mansion template, so I had access to allays from the start, and since it sat right beside the ocean, an alley fish farm was one of my first builds there
Would it be possible, or advisable, to use the same AFK platform for other farms such as a hostile mob farm or iron farm? I know you don't want to build directly over the fish farm but, using the mob spawning marker, there are places for spawning platforms out to the sides. I don't know if this would work or not.
Does anyone know what height to put AFK platform on sim distance 4 if I made the farm 16x16 instead of 32x32? It is chunk aligned. Cant get a single squid to spawn inside.

Welcome back - thankyou for the insight into fishy farms - I have never made one - I'm on console so I guess its time for mathematics to find borders
It's 100% worth it! Even the 1 chunk version of this farm gives you a decent amount.
There's an easier way on console using fancy leaves. Lots of how to videos on that specific process. It's what I use on my console.

Never question the bugrock redstone. Osmosis through block to hopper is our version of quasi connectivity I suppose. LOL!

this must be biome specific u dont want this farm in a warm sea you if dont want the tropical fish also a great video blu

What height to set AFK platform for sim distance of 4? Same as Blu?
On sim 4, just set it at the same height I did the lower platform. No need for the upper. 👍🏻
If you build this in a warm ocean do you get pufferfish.

Bedrock spawns from top down not bottom up like java.
So if you put a roof over it would you get glowsquid instead?
In bedrock, glow squid spawn below Y 30 with a solid block roof!
