Love my 81 Topps. The big problem was most cards were OC. The #302 Future Stars with Fernando has never had a Psa10. All my cards were 60/40 centering.
Yeah, a lot of the sets of that era had centering problems. Just wasn't a huge concern for most collectors at the time -- and especially not for the companies, it seems. lol
To me, '81 Topps will always be the set known as "meh" sandwiched between '80 with the Henderson rookie, and '82 with Ripken's regular and Traded issues. Nothing much valuable here unless graded. Still a nice set nonetheless. Over time it should continue to go up in value.
Very helpful. I’m now a subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!
Kirby Gibson???
And Bench leading reds to 80s glory?
Try the 70s
I have all these cards!
Great video thanks for sharing ⚾ big Mike
You bet. Thanks for watching!
I love these vids
Thanks, glad to hear it!
I'm a Reds fan but I'm not sure how much "glory" they had in the 1980s

Very distinct design. You can look at it and without flipping the back tell that it is a 1981 Topps card.
That's true. Nothing really mimics this one. The hat always stands out, of course.
Rickey...you don’t have to sit in the back, you have tenure. Tenure? I’ve been in the league 15 years. True story

Agreed. Always a bit dark and dingy to me, but it was my first, so special in that way.
