My kids Loved Beezus and Ramona! They named our van Beezus.
The Great Brain books were favorites, and the Redwall series (though we didn't start those until my youngest was 1st grade), Amelia Bedelia, Trumpet of the swan, Vanderbeekers, the Melendy Family quartet, Tumtum & nutmeg, Martin's Mice, Sophie's snail, Sophie's Tom, Sophie's Lucky, ... Any of the Miss Bianca books!

Thanks for the recommendations, my son is only 2 and currently enjoys listening to whatever audiobooks I'm listening to. Though it is great to get some ideas specifically for him

Kids enjoying reading early is fun. Can't say i had a childhood favorite. Robot sounds fun

Yes the Wild Robot series is great - one that would probably keep me engaged even without the kids

My youngest was homeschooled and he also loved audiobooks. He is an auditory learner. I remember a phase he went through with Roald Dahl and Mr. Fox. But he also loved longer chapter books. We always had a book going in the house and in the car. tale of despereaux was a big hit when he was about the age of your kiddos. Have you all listened to Dragon Rider? It's read by Brendon Fraser and he does a pretty good job. I think it's for older kids, but my son listened to it quite young. If a child is a visual book though, I'd recommend giving the book for the child to follow along. I am a visual learner and I hated audiobooks as a kid. I'm still not a big fan of them. when my son was about 8 he liked Island of the Blue Dolphins and any book by Gary Paulsen. Oh! Another good series are the The Mysterious Benedict Society books. Again, I think these might be a little older. It depends on the lexile level of your kids, but I think it's good to have the audio level a little higher than reading skill. 📚📚👍👍🤗

Ooo so many new ones for me to check out! I have read one Benedict Society on my own and I have heard of Despereaux but the rest I haven’t heard of!

@@BandanaBookmom About two years ago my son saw a mouse jump into a farm sink. And I commented, oh you mean like Despereaux? LOL yes, it's pretty creepy and gross in real life, but in a children's story it's so cute.

When my kids were little, they loved the Junie B. Jones audio books. I liked them only because that meant I didn't have to read them (someone needs to teach Junie about grammar....)
