After a nerve issue yesterday, I'm testing my back with heavy singles, aiming for 900-960 lbs if all goes well. I'll take you through my approach, from warming up to throwing on the suit, and share some key deadlift cues. I loved that tip about releasing tension prior to pulling. I used to powerlift and even after 25yrs of lifting that's a new tip to me. THIS is why I come to your channel.. to learn awesome things I didn't even realize I needed to know. Oh, and Mr. Hooper.. take me to Vegas lol! I've never been to a strongman contest or deadlift contest and I've never been to Vegas. I'm also a retired veteran so I don't have to worry about missing work or anything 😆 Keep up the awesome work and best of luck in your current and future endeavors.

August 2024 was the first time I've stepped foot into a gym since my highschool weight room 15+ years ago. I've always been someone who has been self continuous about going to the gym and would get home gym equipment and would have to get rid of the equipment when things in my life changed. Now after watching you and some others I'm going to the gym and I have some resistance bands home gym equipment and some basic weights for when I'm traveling or not able to make it to the gym. I still don't like going to the gym when it's busy as I'm still self continuous and just don't want to be in anyone's way. I just want to say thank you and the others I watch have encouraged me to start going to the gym and work on my self continuous about going and being in the gym.

I've been getting back into working out and just enjoying strongman/powerlifting as a spectator and it has really given me such insight into the world you guys live (it's also really entertaining seeing you, Brian, Eddie, etc do collabs and just have fun as the world's strongest men).

I'm in Arizona you don't need to necessarily take me to Vegas but It would be awesome for you to take me to my first strongman show. Been lifting for about 10 months and have been watching your videos since ive started and everything from diet and training and recovery have all been thanks to you. I started at 260 lbs bw and thanks to you I'm at 320 lbs bw and my lifts have gone up from s/b/d 265/205/245 to now doing 485/315/545 💪
I'm an army combat vet recently retired. I'd love to come to Vegas. Strength sports have done so much for me since leaving the military.

I think with the motivation from the crowd, adrenaline, over all hype you’ll be able to pull that weight. I’ve noticed a big boost in strength in competition with powerlifting then just doing it regular at the gym solo
