I've watched several of these cruiser channels and one thing I like most about your channel is you show more detail about the nuts and bolts of sailing...rigging, repair, planning, etc.
Best episode ever. The information , the music, the shots. I would honestly say your vlog takes second place to NO other sailing channel now. Score!!!!
I sail in the caribbean every year with a group of friends and it always hits me at least one day of the trip about how good it is to be there. Usually we are sitting on the beach finishing our meal and watching the sun set and I just look around at my friends and think WOW how lucky I am to be able to share this moment, to be at this place in my life, with good close friends.Enjoy it. Again and again.
Hey buds! One of my fav ep's from you. Real, informative, instructional, helpful, honest. Telling it how it is and teaching viewers a whole lot. Really enjoyed this one!
Great stuff, very real info to take to heart when sailing. Schedules can kill, cause more headaches , ships or planes . Almost every bad situation I have put myself in while sailing was trying to make my or others schedule. You guys are giving sound advice to others who will follow in your wake. Keep up the good work, Cheers Pop's
Hi Buds, just catching up on some older videos, 🙈great video 👍🏻I think you’re deciding what to do is always the best way to be, subconsciously Jordan you are thinking of not running aground and protecting Atticus which is subconsciously thinking of Desiree 👍🏻🌪⚓️🛳 🥰😎 you guys should be commended for great and methodically approach 🤓
Maybe the best Sailing Video I’ve seen, and perhaps a perfect illustration of what sailing could be like for the rest of us. It’s time we seize the day!
Ahhh...the Hokey Pokey...that's what it's all about. Des, your organization is amazing. The red tape associated with coming and going into and out of countries might be enough to keep me from doing what y'all are doing. But I admire you for doing it. I'd need someone like Desiree to handle all that. These videos are amazing. You two make a perfect partners. Do you have access to radar? I'm sure that would help minimize the risk while cruising. Wow! That starfish! The best part about the extreme highs and lows is that you can't appreciate either without both. Enjoy.
You guys are killing it! You captured an excellent moment towards the end in the cockpit. It was very much "between yourselves" and you noticeably remembered to address us, your viewers/fans as well. Your interweaving of the personal with the other content is setting you apart. Very Merry Christmas guys.
Rea,ly, really good descriptions of events, thoughts and action....🤙 You two are hitting on all cylinders. I think you're most interesting while your cruising and explaining yourselves along the way. Great job and thanks or sharing your adventure. Capt Kaz
Really impressed with your editing lately. Kudos on the dive scene especially. Very obvious you put some serious time into it. The imagery and music was perfectly intertwined. A well deserved like from me.
It looks like both of you are enjoying your life still. It is very nice to be able to see all the places that you visit, in particular, that you can go where you want and do what you want. We have a friend that lives on a sailboat but is on a lake, so it has its limits. After seeing your first video, he wants to get to the Gulf of Mexico and live year-round and travel to places like you've been to. Looks like a great life, and your vlogs are great.,
Hi Guys, that quandary about furler verses hanked-on headsail is one I went back and forth on for 25 years with different boats. It came down to this Furlers are basically for putting a sail away. Generally if you try to use them to reduce the size of your jib you end up with a really crappy shape and a lot of sail wrapped around the forestay. Not real good for upwind work. Also if the furler or furling line malfunctions in a squall the jib will flog so hard you think the mast is gonna come down. On the other hand the inconvenience of actually changing sails is great shape, sharp clean forestay and the ability to dump it quickly using a 4 mm line running from top of jib down forestay and back to cockpit cleat. There has been some advance in furling head sale shape with " packers" to stop the bagging and also some cut the sail really "flat" to roll up better but I don't know how successful these ideas are. I've seen some arrangements where TWO sails use a double track system so that both are attached at the same time ........one up ........one on the deck. ???? HAPPY SAILING GUYS from Australia.💕
Hey guys I just started watching your channel and subscribed. My wife and I almost pulled the trigger on doing the same thing you guys are doing. You guys rock man and I love your editing skills. I do drone videos and wish I could edit like You. Take care guys
What a beautiful, adventurous, young couple. Tremendous video/s, excellent production, agree with all other comments about that, great work. Thank you for sharing your wonderful young lives. God Bless.
Thanks for another great video of what I wish I was able to do. I've got the money, I've got the time, yet my health says hell no. So I just have to be so happy for the two of y'all living my dream. Have lot's of fun, and stay safe, love y'all.
Oh, my. You are evoking so many wonderful memories of S/V Allegro's time in Belize. I am so much enjoying your videos now that I am currently in the States with unlimited Internet - Yeah!
What a great video! Is it just me, or did the video production seem way better? I really enjoyed the music in this video. You guys just keep getting better better and better….. Thank you!
Very nice show guys.... love the vibe. And, BTW the boat looking great and once again, nice job on you're hard dodger. It adds so much and compliments well. You guys are talented.
Lol u guys added that logo video and everytime it plays Im like, aww man the video is ending, then I see the time line and I'm like "oh there's 15 minutes left" sweeeet
It's now 4/24/2020.....I discovered you guys only a few months ago and I've been watching mostly your recent content but now during Covid19 I have lots of time to see your older content like this one. It's interesting to see how your demeanor and comments have changed a bit, you guys had lots of confidence on this trip but your confidence level has significantly increased in more recent content. Great episode and Its Especially interesting closer to the end when you're enjoying the sunset. The best is when we here the voice from down below making dinner! The end credits and content on the laptop are hilarious.
fun, philosophy, beauty(not the least of which is Desiree), fun, excitement, knowledge- you guys bring it all! i'll be a patron when i figure out how. i'm an old fart, not very good on the computer. for now i'll just say thank you.
Enjoying your saltwater sailing. I’m a retired 40 year freshwater family boater w 23ft 454 Cobalt and 75 ft Summerset houseboat on Lake Powell. All sold now kids moved to San Diego and Denver wife deceased. I’m disabled and living in a Scottsdale assisted living facility.
I noticed when you sailed off of the anchor your dingy was hanging way back. When you leave the anchor pull that dingy up close so it does not become a problem with the prop. You say why, the prop isnt turning. No , but if something goes wrong and you have to start the engine then your dinghy painter goes into the prop. the could change and start taking toward another boat. Or the wind could stop and the current could take you the wrong way. Just wait until you have the pleasure of cutting your line out of the prop.
i think you guys a fantastic.. Really down to earth and i think you share much more of what your thinking, always analysing everything and sharing it with us. Much more than most channels. Pure honesty all the way. and the videos are as good as any of the top sailing channels. Great work guys. And you both have a good sense of humour. Fair winds and have a great Christmas.
Love you guys content. It's cool to see those places on and off land like you guys show. Keep up the great work and living your dream. It's very inspirational and motivates me to do the same one day. Safe travels to you guys.
Oh man! It is true "crusing doesn't make your life better" - but son of a gun it is a heck of a fantasy to hang onto through the winter in the NE when you want to be out on the boat in the summer!!!
This was excellent. You seem more relaxed or something than in earlier videos. Or maybe you're getting quite good at shooting/editing videos. The underwater stuff was beautiful (as always), the sailing/navigation bits were interesting, the dilemmas/decision-making were engaging ... etc. In any case: Well done ... and thank you!
Hi Desiree & Jordan, this is different , live but not live? Sailing decision, rigging decision, refit decisions , sometime are the hardest thing to explain and still remain interesting . Good job buds! Cheers Warren
Hanked-on sails set beautifully, partially rolled up genoa does not! By the way, I love those old South Coast sheet winches! They’re still on my 1965 Ariel.
there's a kind of Dr Who moment when you think, I'll just jump onto your boat from my computer and ask to join you for a beer and a curry. I'm good at fresh naan breads. I really like the honesty of the ups/downs bit.
Hi guys personally i would not tow a dingy the drage is massive and it's easy to lose if it gets really rough because it's hard to get it back in and keep it safe , take your time enjoy yourself you're doing fine double check everything
Checking in and out of customs is always a pain in the ass, now that we have sold the CAT and bought the Dana 24, customs is easy, check into the bar and checkout, we are restricting our sailing to Florida coastlines, we only have 3 months in the summer we can sail, so its all good........
In my opinion, you're cautiousness and being prudent is merited. After all, your boat is your home and your partner is a responsibility so for me you are absolutely On Target.
I've watched several of these cruiser channels and one thing I like most about your channel is you show more detail about the nuts and bolts of sailing...rigging, repair, planning, etc.
Great episode with beautiful music .... nice couple who enjoy life
Thanks Rini

Two honest , real, lovely people. I enjoy your videos.
The end of your videos, a brilliant unique signature....wowza!!
Greetings from New Zealand. Like hearing your thought process for your sailing decisions. Thanks for sharing! Love ya work team.
Yep. Highs and lows. Thank you for posting this wonderful high. Great vid!
Lucky children indeed who watch the many adventures of Sailing Project Atticus...hoky poky and all.
Be safe in this Corona time. God Bless you both.

Ok this was a great video and a nice journey. Also I loved the editing and music. Sail on you two.
I learn more about sailing from your channel than any other I’ve watched.
That shot of the little fish swimming under the jelly fish was super cool!
You guys really do a great job of sharing. Thank you so much.
Cheers from cold snowy Canada

Like the busy paper work music 😊
Crispy Burnt used to always tell me- "Perfection never leaves the dock"
Really nice video of your dive. I also like the commentary.
"Pragmatic Pessimism" What an awesome approach to planning!

Jordan looks like a really cute kitty 🐱. 😄
If all goes well...u will never lose that feeling....I never have and hope I never will fall deaf to my call to the ocean.
Learning to read the weather better will help you in increase your destination planning. Navigators rule. :)
