Congrats, beautiful bike and if it was mine, I'll put a clear coat over that patina and leave it as is, gives such character to the bike and keeps it original :)
RoyalJordanian Thanks RJ! I bought her to ride it so i´ll keep it as she is. The motor has been restored by a former owner and he felt the same way about the rest, leave it as is. She´s 64 and should look old :)
***** Only thing missing is the green light that should light up when you are in neutral, the problem is that lightbulb it´s prehistoric and can't be found nowadays, but there is a fix i been told.
I love classics, but that's a new one on me. I would leave it as it is, but my friend would return it to factory condition. I need another bike, but can't decide on one.
It seems to be running well. Nice to keep the aged patina. Looks like a DKW (BSA Bantam) derived machine to me. I am sure you will have fun with it! :)
Sweet ride dude, I have been looking at a new old style enfield to add To my garage, but I also want the new Honda nc750x. But that little bike is awesome.
First off, he's an All Blacks fan, so he's a good guy. ;o) That kick-starter might do you some damage mate. There's nothing like buying a new bike, even if it's an old bike. Haha. Are you going to try to fix it up like new, or just use it as is? Nice one mate.
Rob Ash I had to google that, rugby it is :) the kick-starter is nothing compared to my Husaberg but still i wouldn't try starting it with flip-flops lol I will keep it as is, that patina looks kind of cool. Thanks Rob!
ran really good for that old a bike You'll have to add it into your intro I hope you're not going to restore it. Just keep it running as is an original bike congratulations

Really cool bike, I was very suprised the bike actually worked.
I just did some reading up on Monark, and I'm a bit surprised I'd never heard of them before. Cool old bike!
dprider02 They were pretty successful in motocross, but not anywhere near Husqvarna.
Not bad for a bike older than me!!! I must try to remember to tell my Norwegian mate about this bike to see if he knows about them.
banditnev He might heard about it, the brand Monark still exist but they stopped making motorcycles in 1975.
Pretty cool old bike. Looking forward to seeing more about it.
When you were looking at that Husqvarna Silverpilen I was thinking something like this might happen. Nice find. Looks pretty complete.

I love it!! Cool bike!
Britex3186 It´s in good condition too for such an oldie :)

Heith Gagnon Yup 64 years is a very long time!
Nice! What was in that small box on the left side of the rear wheel?
gentlemansnine Thanks bud, it´s the battery compartment.
Not wrong, there is always room for another, think I am about to get an old XT with a seized engine to repair.
Beauty. Are you planning to restore it to original condition?
Len Scapoff Cheers Len, i will leave it as is, but i will try to find original tank decals :)
Enjoy bud!
What a super cool bike. Congrats dude! So, what Color are you going to paint it? I think red and a cream white will keep the vintage look. Ride safe.
vac0002 Thanks bud, i will keep it in this patina, if you don't get the exact color scheme as the original, the value of the bike will drop.
NIce! Congrats!
+iSlander Thanks, it´s a fun little bike.

Varför kan man inte prata svenska när man är i Sverige?
Det kan man väl men om 70% av besökarna är engelskspråkiga så är det ingen bra ide 😀
