It is a good way to chill after a long day for sure. Been playing after work since it released. The 5,000 dollar debt had me a bit stressed with the bank holding my rig over my head but i managed to become debt free after grinding a few loads. It really makes you think whats the best way to maximize efficiency and optimize your rig.. love it
I gave this a whirl yesterday when it came out. Was having a jolly old time until it was time to dock and I couldn't figure it out but now in your video I see how to do it. I'll give it another go.
Really enjoyable game. I appreciated the way they let you tinker with the different game settings so, for example, I have set the crash and cargo damage to max but the fuel/power cell consumption to low as I enjoy uninterrupted driving with more of a challenge/penalty if I mess up. My only gripe is I wish there were vertical thrusters to move up and down as when docking or trying to align with a loose cargo you really miss that extra functionality. Edit: It would be nice to have an upgrade that lets you recharge empty batteries as you drive too!
I played this for a bit today and got to the first dock, when the CB chatter started, I found myself thinking Scarlet is going to rage over this, having watched your Hardspace Ship Breaker review from years back. TBH I was a little sad to not hear it. But glad the radio is good.
I'm at the point where I am thinking of, what am I striving for? Is there property to buy? Can I make my own fleet like ATS? Doubtful. Add "friends" who ask me to do a space walk in a dangerous electrical storm sector to clean graffiti, and it's taking a nosedive
Ooooft. Already see cool stuff they could add into this game. Contraband and space cops would be sooo cool. Also one of those things where if they add it. It should be down to the player if they want to go there and something you can opt for as I know not everyone might want to, would totally fit with the whole outlaw space cowboy vibe. I like the idea of having the CB/ UHF as a story thing to. That's so cool! Definitely got to check this game out. Really hope you can customize your truck looks wise besides just things like engine/ cargo upgrades.
Great game. It’s like Subnautica but in space. But on medium difficulty it’s a bit too demanding in the maintenance department imo. You buy and replace things more often than you do jobs. Not enough time to enjoy the view :)
Yesterday played that game and i feel like 2-3 delivers i can manage in dat game. Im not big fan of deliver trucks. But i like space and his aroundings.
Gamepass means i need not spend money buying the game yet but i’d recommend buying the small add on pack for a few dollars to give the devs some early support
Game looks cool, and very well done but it's one of those games that, to me, seems to have no point. What I mean is, ok, you get money for deliverying stuff. But the only thing you use the money for is to make your truck better. Then its basically the same thing over and over again. You go from point a to point b and buy new supplies you run out of. I can see this being fun for a couple of hours but after that.......... And to be honest, all that backing up to load and unload things would get old real quick. So, its not that its a bad game to me. Its maybe some subjects or professions dont need to be made into games because there is just not much there to do.
why is there weight stations in space? the main reason for weight restrictions in trucking is safety, and to protect infrastructure like roads, and bridges. It's fucking space!
Love the game but the controls currently are clunky (especially in reverse) and the "recommend" setting for the game is a massive grind fest for filters and batteries
Personally, I haven’t had that issue. Typically after a main mission I’ll go to the scrap yard or whatever it’s called and just take what I can. Then go out to a shop, sell whatever I have no use for and just buy as many batteries as I can and keep them in stock! I’m playing on the recommended difficulty though. I know there is a custom difficulty and a lot of people are saying they play with it lowered. I personally like how it’s set up just because it makes it feel like it has more to it. Definitely get why people wouldn’t like it though!
The State Bank of India? Judge the game on its own merits, not on the engine it's built on, or some organization's involvement. Unless that organization is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, then you can raise the alarm.
@@John.McAfees.Dead.Mans.Switch Yes, but my point stands - the game should be judged on its merits. Not its engine, not some organizations. I haven't seen anything 'woke' or 'DEI' about the game, so what's your problem?
I kept forgetting about the oxygen power and just kept passing out lol The highways idk why are incredibly hard for me to follow aswell. Still fun though might try again later.
At least in ETS/ATS, part of the charm is seeing what they've done with familiar locations. Also, does your truck have enough "oomph" to make it up that hilly route with a heavy load, or will taking it cause you to be late? This is just a bunch of space assets arranged in different ways and with different colors with no bearing on anything. And it seems like all you do is fight with the batteries powering vital systems that are just a consumable. What? They've never heard of rechargable batteries in the future??
if you have not seen the classic movie space trucker. i HIGHLY recommend. and this game is clearly inspired by that movie.
Ive seen the movie today because of the game 😂
A guilty pleasure of mine!
there is/was also an animated tv show starring John Cena and Kat Dennings "Dallas & Robo" about trucking in space as well.
I’ll have to keep an eye out for that movie, sounds like a good watch
@@BigBudzGaming it's free on TH-cam

As someone who plays Star Citizen just to be a "space trucker" Star trucker looks like it was made for me.
Waiting to drive that Hull E across 5 systems one day.
As a backer myself to say you “play” star citizen is a bit of a stretch but I feel you. 😂

I did exactly as you did! Even with consumption to low, I feel like I spend all my time changing batteries😅
My first thought was that it reminded me of the Cowboy Bebop Universe with the jump gates and the feel of it. I'm loving it so far.
I love that you used Chris Christodoulou - The Rain Formerly Known As Purple from Risk of Rain 2 as background :X:X:X
Interesting you mentioned Cowboy Bebop, because they did have an episode concerning space truckers, LOL!

Thanks, loved the review. I love the aesthetic of the game, especially the dashboard. I hope they add some more control options soon.
American Truck style, space themed, free roam of the truck and outside? This is a game I would love to play
Seems cool, but idk about the in truck inventory management. That might lose me. About to give this a try though. Thanks for the overview.
Kinda reminds me of ETS2 with a space theme and added features. This looks great

Didn't realize the weighing station was mandatory you can, imagine my shock when half my money was in the 🚽🚽.... at the beginning of the game.
Does this work with a HOTAS?
Not yet but apparently high on the list of features to come.
