In 1978 the Shroud of Turin was subjected to five days of evidence gathering by 24 scientists using 8,000 lbs of equipment. They took three years to analyze the data. The formal conclusions were that the Shroud's image is not composed of paint, stain, dye, ink, sweat, watercolor, or scorch and that it is not the work of an artist. The scientists said that the cloth had been in contact with a human corpse and that they were unable to formulate an explanation as to how the image was formed. Since the image shows underlying skeletal features such as teeth, it seems that radiation from the enclosed corpse might be responsible for its formation. Therefore, the possibility of a related neutron radiation event ought to be considered when evaluating the Shroud's C14 data. However, in 1989 the British Museum refused to do that, and, instead, manipulated the Shroud's C14 data and also the mathematical analysis of that data in order to arrive at the Museum's desired conclusions.
Nuclear engineer Robert Rucker has subjected the C14 data to an evaluation using a Los Alamos neutron flux program and has found that the Shroud's C14 data is consistent with the hypothesis of a neutron radiation event that originated from the enclosed corpse. shroudresearch(dot)net

I am a PhD level Physicist that completed my PhD coursework at Purdue University with a 5.9 / 6.0 GPA and I worked in IONIZING RADIATION DETECTION technologies and particle accelerator technology for 34 years! The SHROUD was not made at the HANDS of MAN, but I must refute the NEUTRON RADIATION theory because neutrons penetrate too deeply and would cause damage ALL THE WAY THROUGH the SHROUD. Charged particles of the right energies, or deep ULTRAVIOLET of the right energy WOULD only penetrate 50 - 200 nanometers as the STURP scientists found. Only the very top of the microfibers are darkened and this is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to accomplish and was impossible for any forger from the time of CHRIST through 1970s. Particle accelerators are capable of this type or darkening of the fibers, but obviously this wasn't available prior to the 1970s!!

The ATHEISTS LIED about the OCHRE pigment forgery technique being viable!!
@@salmonkill7 Rucker's neutron flux hypothesis does not hold that neutron radiation caused the image on the Shroud. A neutron flux is thought to have been a side effect of whatever type of radiation was responsible for the images. Not much was needed to enhance the Shroud's 14C content by 16%.
I had the privilege of visiting Jerusalem in January of 1995 & the most places that stuck with me was the Holy Sepulchre, Sea of Galilee & the River Jordan it was amazing and I'm so glad I made that visit 💞

If the Shroud image had been forged with pigment why has no pigment or dye ever been detected on the Shroud, yet the image is still there?
If you need pigment to have the image, and no pigment is present, then the logical conclusion is that this theory is complete nonsense.
Plus the image is ONLY on the top of the shroud. Pigment would have transferred through the fibers. MANY holes in this reporting. No real facts.
What if was originally a painted image, but all the pigment was washed away, leaving only the discoloured fibres which had been affected chemically by substances in the paint? Stranger things have happened.

What if the Shroud is just what it's claimed to be, i.e., the actual burial cloth of Jesus, and the image is the result of his resurrection from the dead?

Wouldn’t it be pretty easy to identify the pigments if the image on the shroud was created using ocher? From all the studies, I believe no pigments were identified on the shroud. The conclusion in this “documentary” makes no sense.

The section of cloth was a repair area which had been tested. This is one reason the science is wrong . One of the scientists that worked on the project said a chemical was used one the cloth which left the cloth damaged . With that if a section that had fire damage was carbon dated it would prove that it is real. The chemical that was used does not affect carbon. So why not retest I have no idea why it can not be done .
It can be but what’s the point? It’s clearly not the cloth warped around Jesus. All you have to do is use your brain, wrapping a body would not produce a perfect image of a body and through moving it around it would smudge with blood and you wouldn’t be able to see a face anyway. The mine wants to believe the same as it wanted to believe Santa. I’m not saying Jesus isn’t real, but this shroud is a power trip from back then. Same way your English Bible is a power trip. The makers of this documentary have failed to include the latest findings on The Shroud. Scientists came to the conclusion that no paint, ink or dye was used to create the image on The Shroud. One of the earlier modern investigations took material from the outer edge of The Shroud but this material had been added to the cloth to repair it when damaged. Some of the scientists who were involved in a later investigation were not Christians and some of them were Jewish. They had no interest in saying The Shroud was something it was not. There interest was to understand what the cloth was and learn about the image. Using the latest technology they could explain how the image had been created and concluded it was not created in the middle ages. Plant matter, mould, was found and this matched with those found in Jerusalem. Please look further into this if interested as this documentary does not do The Shroud justice.
Well no there would have used real blood to fool people. They knew what they were doing. Jesus face would have only been in the cloth for only 2 and a half days or something close to that. His face would never have left a mark and on top of that it’s funny that it resembles the European face of Jesus instead of a Jewish one

The Shroud has been dated to the time of Jesus. Two tests were done on the Shroud the first test took a sample from the outer edge. This sample was a different material as the Shroud had been damaged by water and fire over time. Later generations tried to fix the damaged material. The second investigation used the latest technology to examine the image and they concluded it was a 3D image which they could not explain. Some were NASA scientists and not Christians. They concluded the image was not created by ink, paint or any chemical that has been available to humans in the past 2000 years.

Radiation which could have been generated by the transformation of a human. Just because it cannot be explained because we lack the technology to fully understand the image does not make it less real. If everyone applied limited thoughts to the unexplained then humans would not have made much progress at all. Humans have come to accept that they don't know everything.

Somehow science can define any miracle with scientific ways but it does not mean they are not miracles. We can't say whether they are real or not but we don't need them to believe that Jesus existed. But we also can't say that they are useless since they are associated with Jesus's life and they should be respected because of that.

The shroud is real and the Grail is in Wales
The shroud didn't exist before the middle ages. Same with the grail. No mention of it in history until the French Arthurian romantic stories. Neither object was spoken of or documented before medieval times. Also a grail meant platter, not a cup.
@@WayneBraack I don't care what Grail means but it's in Wales and it was a simple wooden bowl that Joseph of Aramathia took back to Glastonbury after Jesus was crucified. The only way the image was made on the shroud was from the energy that transfigured his body from the grave.

I admire how the church would let the relics being examined. Though the result may not be as expected but it shows that the church would not keep things in the dark.

Catholics and Orthodox don't worship these objects. God's power can flow through blessed objects like the hem of Jesus garment healed the woman who touched just the hem. It's because of teh connection to Christ that causes healing. I wish people who did documentaries like this would stop saying reverence equals worship, or honor equals adoration. Worship and adoration or for God alone. WHen people say this wrong, it causes our protestant brethren to think we are idolators and it stirs up division in the Body of Christ. Just ask us what we are doing instead of just observing from the outside.
Among those who claim to know God are those that worship idols. They pray to the Virgin Mary, they pray to rosary beads, they pray to shrouds. Pray to God not idols. No church is needed, no idols are needed, your will and belief in God is what is needed no object can replace that .

The Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo blow my mind. Every single scientific test to date has pointed at them being genuine and scientists cannot even workout, how they could of been made.
Actually you are mistaken. It has been proven to have been made by Leonardo DaVinci. But rather than argue its validity just ask yourself do YOU NEED to have an object to have faith in Christ? People pray to such idols and God warned us to not put any idols of worship before Him.
The shroud , the spear of destiny , even the alleged tomb of Christ are not necessary to believe in Christ.
