They used to stick those mobile home furnaces in a narrow hallway near the back side door. Looks like these are a little roomier.
Yeah that made for a getaway when the tenant had pushed the reset 20 times on a Intertherm 1265 oil furnace. No way to open anything up for a vent. Lots of fun lol

My setup is very similar. If it's the same as mine, hopefully (if you've gone back) you can let the customer know there's supposed to be a filter above that coil as well to filter the air coming in through the single fresh air duct that goes through the roof. That could explain a lot of the filth.

Good job on finding the leaking areas Curtis. 👍 Some HVAC technicians just add refrigerant and go.
Alot of customers just want to pay you for the hour and refrigerant rather than leak search and repair.

Just replace, u get commission and search and repair takes too long and cost as much as new coil. Especially if you more calls to go

Valve stems leaking means nothing. The secret to them good caps , not plastic ones. Have a great day.
That’s a terrible air filter arrangement. I know the owner decides what they want repaired but you have recommended replacing the coil on less problems. Nice diagnostic on the leaks

The only way to know that is to way it out and compare it with factory charge and line set length.

Good to see that you're doing better! Not sure that that filter is supposed to be catching since the blower is beneath it, and there's ductwork above it.🤔
Most mobile homes supply duct work is under trailer. It is a down flow usually with aux heater under the blower.
@@charlespaine987 I know, I used to live in a trailer. But in this setup there's ductwork above the coil, so the air was just bypassing the filter. Probably why the filter was so clean while the coil was so dirty.
@@NikeHM69 I have a similar filter setup in my trailer but there was a mystery duct from the top I had to install a secondary filter for it as it pulls out side air from some where

Notice that electrical box in the laundry room hanging out of the wall by a wire? Definitely a slumlord! All of that should have been fixed before the tenant moved in.

I have one, works better when area is wet down, easier to hear.
That schrader leak.. I wonder if soap bubbles and or ultra sonic picked up on it. Cool test video would be to use soap bubbles then wet the area and use ultra sonic then the sniffer. Use two sniffers 🤔
Ultra sonic not great for micro leaks or once a year fills unless you put a lot of pressure on the coil
