She needs some strong coaching on ethics and sportsmanship while she is still young. I don't mind her not resigning, but the draw offer is just not right, and I bet she was counting on the younger kid not realizing it was an illegal move.

She was willing to take advantage of someone. Also if you notice carefully, she did not resign when he calls arbiter, she resigns when she realizes there is a camera behind her. Hopefully she can learn and avoid this kind of behavior in the future ? My guess is, she will just learn to hide her malice better in future instead of understanding that she should not be malicious in the first place.

the girl is actually smart so there is this rule that if someone makes illegal move and the opponent neglects it and makes the illegal move then the opponent will loose...so in this case the girl thinking that she is playing against a 3 yr old can pull this and win resorting to the last chance but anish was smart

Not resigning i can understand (hoping for stalemate perhaps), but her elbows on the board and moving the pieces before the arbiter gets there? What would have happened if there was no video footage of this incident?
Yaa. Although I was a kid at 11 who wasn't perfect, it's not too young to not have manners and accept failure with grace. Although all these depends on her surroundings.

NONE of them ever said they want to push their child in chess, for them they think it's a great mental sports and hobby that would help them in future, but almost ALL of them are concerned if it dominates their child academics. They know pretty well that Chess doesnt pay off as much as one thinks. Are you saying you were a prodigy too? Otherwise why will your parents force you into that, but anyway its Sad that happened to you.
@arofficial3344 well you are correct, i was a prodigy too. They putnme in chess when i was 7 ( now im 17). This led to an early burnout and i lost interest in the game. Also theres no reason to be sad. They love me, i love them. Just that i didnt live upto their expectations.

Bro when we do this, it's fine. She is literally competing in a tournament. I am 13 year old and when I participated when I was 12 in a tournament (only 1 year difference), I lost many games but never even tried to cheat.

Usually if you resign, you'll stop the clock and shake hands. If you offer a draw, you simply ask "draw?" and wait for your opponents response.
