as a canadian when i heard yvonne took french for 6 years and could only remember "how are you" and "can i go to the bathroom" i knew immediately she wasn't lying. every single person i know took french from kindergarden to grade 9 and i could count on one hand the amount of people that can actually speak french fluently still that i hang out with. everyone can sorta kinda understand it but nobody actually learns to speak it
Tbh I feel like no matter how many classes/years you take learning a diff language, as soon as you don’t have like,,, mentions or things involving said language, you end up forgetting much of it.
I learned French for 5 years, not a single person at any of the schools I went too that had this mandatory class got any sort of fluent in the language. I can read certain things and understand a bit but I can't even rember how to say "can I go to the bathroom"
I feel like this is the fault of the Canadian education system (I’m Canadian),because people are forced to learn French once the option not to take it is there they won’t take it but for like me (I wasn’t forced to take French ) I love French and still speak it
@@yoketah its because its a required class so nobody takes it even remotely seriously and basically forgets everything immediately. my grade 8 french class i literally cannot remember doing work i just sat in class shooting paperclips into the ceiling with an elastic band for basically the entire year and i was one of the least disruptive kids in class

As someone having worked with elderly people, I never doubted the "being pooped on" story by Sydney. One elderly gentleman once informed me when I was changing his sheets from underneath him that "oops, watch out, I'm gonna poop". There was not much time to react.

I worked at a grocery store, and once had to clean the restroom after an old lady shat everywhere. And I mean everywhere: all over the walls, the floors, the toilet seat. Everywhere except the actual toilet bowl. It was disgusting. So, yeah, I didn't doubt that, either.
As an EDT i can confirm I get my hand pooped on probably about once every other week. Sometimes incontinent people don’t realize it’s still coming when you’re wiping them. Diarrhea is def preferable to having a nice lump plop onto your hand.
If you think that’s bad - if you’re impacted close to the rectum then a doctor or mid level will go in and scoop it out with their fingers.

Honestly thought scarra was lying about the Olympics because that opening ceremony was for the 2008 games and he was talking like 2014 or 2016 which were Sochi and Rio, but it is super cool that his grandfather was involved in that! That opening and the Birds Nest stadium are iconic Olympic moments! Rolling into that stadium as an athlete in 2022 after watching the 2008 games as a kid was an astounding experience and one I will never forget.

Feedback for the scoring: since most people wrote a number on their boards and the liars revealed their lie as a sentence, it was really hard to follow which person received points each round. Next time can you add a “+1” or a similar delta visual over the person who got it correct (and not just total score), or list which options were 1, 2, and 3 in text along the bottom. Thanks!

As a fellow Canadian, I sometimes forget that French Immersion isn't a thing in the States. Half of my classes were in French as well but, lord knows, I've retained _none_ of it.

A sense check could have been done on the final results because 6 points are awarded each round, there were 7 rounds, so the total points should be 42.
