2 strokes can be very complicated, and unfortunately I've moved on to another bike since this video and have to rebuild the 89 yz 250.. but some quick tips 1. Clean the carburetor 2. Drain the gas out of your tank / fill back up with 32-1 fuel 3. Put a new spark plug ( NGK RB8EG ) / make sure it's getting spark by unscrewing sparkplug but keep it in the rubber housing, place the tip of the plug on the engine kick it and look for spark.. 4. Make sure your air filter is still useable As long as your piston and piston rings are in good shape it should kick over after a few kicks.. but after it cuts on you will probably need to adjust your fuel to air screw to make sure it's running correctly and idling on pitch.. Oh and the choke is only used when it's cold outside and needs extra fuel to start it's the black tab has to be pulled up for the choke to be on Good luck. I'll make a video when I start rebuilding but you will probably get it going by then if not stay tuned ✌🏽
Braaap_111 thank u bro🙏🏻 another quick question, is the choke turned on in the up or down position? i dont know if we have the same choke but mine looks original it doesnt look like any newer choke ive seen
