Vernon caught your attention in all the MV's 😂. He is korean-american (korean father, american mom), so you definitely noticed his western features that look 'different'. His real name is Hansol Vernon Chwe, he was born in New York but moved to Korea when he was 5 or younger so he thinks of himself as culturally Korean. He is also a Korean citizen since SK does not allow dual nationality. 😊 Seventeen is a 10 year old group from 3rd gen. They debuted in 2015 but have been in camera since the christmas of 2012 😅.
I'm sure other people have already commemted these details but here's a quick overview of what makes seventeen so incredible: • The fans are Carats (refering to diamonds, not the vegetable 🤭) • They are almost entirely self-produced. All members have a hand songwriting but Woozi, the vocal team leader, composes and produces 99% of their songs and is (I believe) the youngest member of KOMCA on top of winning the AAA best producer award in 2021 • There are 13 of them!! They are called seventeen because 13 members + 3 subunits + 1 team = 17! • Speaking of subunits, they are split into 3 of them and release unit-exclusive songs! S.Coups leads the hiphop subunit, Hoshi leads the performance subunit, and Woozi leads the vocal subunit. Despite this, every member is very well rounded and skilled in areas outside of their subunit! • Seventeen are known as the kings of synchronization and the theatre kids of kpop which shows in their glorious chreography. This is especially prevalent in the choreographies for Maestro, Super (손오공 or 'Sonogong'), Rock With You, and HOME;RUN though I am also especially fond of the choreo for HOT! • Seventeen has a variety show called Going Seventeen that is a brilliant showcase of their personalities and humor Maybe that wasn't all that quick but please look into Seventeen more as they have so much to offer!! (I apologize for any typos or if I refer to the subunits as subteams, it's rather late for me at the moment 😅)
@MJAnonymous6003 no worries as long as I understand what u trying to say, then it's all good. Thanks. It's difficult to look at groups more at this point due to having so many recommendations. I appreciate the info u given and will make sure all of it is updated on my file
13 members, 3 units, 1 teem=17 The company is PLEDIS witch is under HYBE. Fandom is Carats and you are now stepping into the Dimond life. You should check out their Killing Voice from 2022. There is also a great guild titled, A Very Long Guild to Seventeen. It is very long but on 4 parts and yes Carat will watch you react to all of it. As a mama Carat I love to see the Fandom grow.
I LOVE SEVENTEEN, i have been listening to kpop since 2017 and i can say that theyre my fav boygroup, theyre so funny (youre gonna love watching their funny moments one day) and sososo talented, theyre known as the most synchronized group in kpop why is the group name called seventeen when there's 13? it's because there's 3 sub-units, the 'performance' unit (dance), the 'vocal' unit (vocalists), and the 'hip hop' unit (rap) + 1 fandom, the fandom name is carat = which results in 17! (it is the original meaning, but before it was because there was 17 trainees but only 13 debuted.) for starters, if you want to hear chill songs then you should listen to: -love, money, fame (recent song) -spell (MY FAV KPOP SONG. it is a performance unit song, which means it's only the main dancers
@xsnowyrosie oh wow thank u for all this detailed info. I do appreciate it. I'm going to update my file with all these songs to look at when I do another reaction to them 😊🫶🙏
Seventeen has 13 members consists of 3 subunits (hiphop, performance, vocals) within 1 group. So 13 + 3 + 1 = 17 😁 They’re well known as self producing group who has written and produced all of their songs. The main songwriter and producer is Woozi (from vocal subunit) followed by Vernon and S.Coups (from hiphop subunit). The fandom name is Carat (as in the measurement used for diamond) They debuted in 2015 (3rd gen) so they’re going to celebrate their 10th anniversary this year in May. Their songs are in very diverse genre from pop, funk, rock, EDM, ballad, etc so you’ll always find something exciting from them. The one who caught your attention on all the videos is Vernon, he’s half Korean half American, that’s why he has a distinct visual compared to the others. He’s in the hiphop subunit and one of the main songwriters in Seventeen. Aside from being known as a Self Producing group, they are also known as the KPop Performance Powerhouse, the Theatre Kids of KPop and the Most Synchronized Group so checking out their live performances and dance practices are a must 😊
To be honest, recommendations for this group can get kind of tricky. Because as you can see from the three videos you chose, their discography is so diverse. None of the three songs you picked sounded anything like each other. And you could probably go and pick three more songs and they would sound completely different from each other and completely different from the three you just heard. But I literally love every single song that I’ve heard from them, so I can’t be objective. I will say that you should definitely check out the dance practices for all three of these songs. But particularly for Hit. And if you want another high energy one, then do Getting Closer or Call Call Call. If you want to see them to do something that looks like it comes straight out of a musical, then do the dance practice for Pretty U. If you want something that looks like it comes straight off of Broadway, then do Home;Run. If you want something more lyrical and artistic, then try Fallin’ Flower, or Thanks. If you want to see something that’s like an explosive massive power anthem that was so epic it required them to rehearse in a gymnasium, then watch the dance practice for Super. The recommendation list for them is endless because they just have so much content.
Hello from a fellow South African. Welcome to the diamond 🔹 life. It's so worth it. I know it looks daunting with 13 members, but you won't regret it,I promise you. Fandom is Carats, hence the diamond life. This rabbit hole goes deep. Their dance practices are legendary. They debuted in 2015,so part of the 3rd Gen of KPop like BTS. So they are OGs. They are my comfort and home group. Other comments already explained the 13+3+1. They are unique that they have a leader for each unit and an overall leader. Their discography is huge
