Thank you for your reaction! (G)i-dle are incredible, i love them so much. Soyeon (the third girl) is such a genius: she wrote and produced all the title tracks and most of the b-sides. I highly recommend listening to their albums, not just the title tracks (if not for a reaction, then for yourself). Their company is pretty bad at their job, so the girls do most of the things themselves. In one of their recent interviews, Soyeon said that she did everything from writing, producing, recording the songs to choosing the concept, outfits, ideas for the videos and even nail art. So they are real diamonds in the K-pop industry! I recommend to watch (this is in chronological order since debut, except lion and oh my god): latata; senorita; put it straight (nightmare version, performance on queendom); uh-oh; dumdi dumdi; hwaa; last dance; never stop me; tomboy; my bag (dance practice video); villain dies (any of live performances, it’s really good track); dark(x-file); nxde; allergy+queencard (it’s connected) I do; I want that; wife; fate; super lady; revenge (highly recommend); klaxon; bloom; last forever. Also Soyeon and Miyeon are part of the group k/da from league of legends, you can watch Pop/stars; More. I personally really love Soyeon’s solo album, there is a video for the title track Beam Beam and a live video for Is this bad b**** number?. But I also highly recommend watching the live performance of Psycho from their tour (I am free-ty 2023, the video is in good quality and well filmed). And finally, I recommend their killing voice, it’s amazing! So sorry for the long comment (and for my English), but I just love them so much and want as many people as possible to know about these talented girls❤
Second from the left, Miyeon is the eldest but you wouldn't be able to tell just from personalities. They all can be pretty silly and fun which is evident in the guides haha. I don't know about all the songs but most of them have music videos and they're all awesome, plus Minnie on the far left recently dropped a solo song and a solo album coming out the 21st, so you picked a good time to get into them. Shuhua, the one on the right is the youngest as other people have already said. When she first debuted she still hadnt mastered korean and so her pronunciation was a bit off and she got roasted by some korean fans about it. So since then she's been fairly shy about singing. Plus she's an introvert so she is normally super energetic but she was probably just super nervous and worried about messing up

The last girl, the 5th in the right is Shuhua (Taiwanese) & no, she is not the oldest, she is actually the youngest, the maknae, 25 y old. And btw she is a rly an odd one, to say the least 😂. The eldest is actually Miyeon, the 2nd from the left - 27 y old (actually almost 28 at the end of January), but only in terms of age, because her mental age is that of a 10y old🤣, a real goofball & the most unserious among them all. So, from left to right they are: 1st Minnie (Nicha Yontararak, thai, main vocalist, 2nd in age after Miyeon - I think also 27 y old); 2nd as I said previously, Cho Miyeon (Korean, also main vocalist, an ex XG trainee, she trained with the current Blackpink members, bfr leaving the company, going to Cube & debuting in 2018 with (G) I-dle; 3rd is Jeon Soyeon (korean, 26 y old) the Leader, Main Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Center, Producer, Lyricist & God knows what else 😜 - I wouldn't surprised if, one day, she will take over Cube as the CEO or smthg🤣; 4th is Yuqi (chinese, 25 y old, Main Dancer, Sub Vocalist, Sub Rapper, Face of the Group) - the one with the unusual low register, amazing solo singer as well (last year she launched her 1st mini album, with some great songs, like: Radio, Freak, Could it be, On clap etc) 5th one, as I said, is Yeh Shuhua,(Sub Vocalist, Visual, Maknae), another goofball &^odd one, a really talented entertainer (her appearences in all kind of shows are always funny to watch, especially on "Workdol", where she was the main protagonist in the 2nd season, hilarious)
I'll add a bit. I've probably said this before, but Idle was formed by Soyeon, who carefully chose the members for their distinctive voices. Yuqi was the most problematic because Cube wasn't sure about her deep voice and sent them vocal coaches to get them singing more like other kpop groups. Soyeon would have none of it, sent Cube's coaches packing, and brought in her own coaches to develope the girl's natural voices. (You cross Soyeon at your peril. She knows what she wants creatively and lets nothing stop her from getting it.) Soyeon writes/produces nearly all their song and writes the parts to the members' particular voices. Cube shut up about Yuqi after "Latata" came out and became a big hit, with everyone loving Yuqi's deep voice. Yuq's also the loose cannon of the group and seemingly can't stay still and is always ready to start dancing. Soyeon also loves teasing Yuqi and will frequently sneak up behind Yuqi when she's on camera and dance around behind her making goofy faces. When Soyeon isn't teasing Yuqi, Yuq and Shuhuh are usually goofing on each other as you can see a little bit here. (They also both speak Chinese as their native language so they can yell at each other in Mandarin.) Like I've said, Idle is unique because they're self-contained. They write and produce nearly all their own material so they have full creative control, and Soyeon uses that to produce material like "Oh My God" and "Lion." The girls all love their "Captain" because she writes such great material for them, and by watching and listening to how she produces a song, both Minnie and Yuqi have become composers and producers in their own right. The bottom line is THERE'S NO ONE LIKE (G)i-IDLE. They're powerhouses finanically (they're Cube's top earners) and creatively. They're also the most fun to watch in the bts stuff because off screen they're like a herd of cats going in all different directions. We love them passionately...❤❤❤❤❤
I'm happy to. Idle is a fascinating group because they're very open about their work. They're all rich and famous at this point so they're not doing it for the money, but because they're all passionate about the music and the messages of empowerment many of their songs carry. There's several bts videos of them working on songs with Soyeon as producer and the woman has the most incredible ear for sounds, working with her members to get just the right inflection and rhythm to a line. The members all match her because they're so talented as vocalists that it usually just takes one or two tries to get the lines down. (To hop groups, I just watched the bts recording of "Drip" by Babymonster and damn, Rami (the blond one) is right there at the producers' console tweaking someone's delivery. Even if they are a relatively new group, I think Rami is definitely following in Soyeon's footsteps and is likely to become a top producer in her own right as the years go on.)

You can call them I-DLE or (G)I-DLE. But ever since "Tomboy", many fans simply call them I-DLE. I love "The Killing Voice" performance, because it showcases their raw talents and how much fun they are. Also, Soyeon wrote all the songs presented, except "POP/STARS", though she is Akali in person. As a guide, my favorite was always "CUBE's Secret Weapon", but it's long and only showcases them until the "I Burn" era. Otherwise any 2024 updated guide is a good introduction to my Queens. =)
If your interested in the beginnings of idle.. would recommend " the rise of (g)i-dle " by lovinsoojin.. warning = very long video.. takes you thru 260 first day sales, to million sellers.. and the hardships they went thru to get there..
