Fmr president Jonathan, what a democrat and statesman! Though i don not agree with some his submissions, one thing most Nigerians know is that some of the people sitted in that hall would pass off as traitors in retrospect due to their actions against the Nigerian state..... Make no mistake about that!
True. Every country’s biggest criminals are usually seated in the big offices. To be honest, look around the world. Or maybe I’m only thinking about notable countries?? But yeah, every country that matters, has huge cobwebs they’re hiding. lol
Do you expect everyone to remember every single person that did something to make it happen. The reality is, the list he called out is not up to 0.01 of the people that fought for democracy in Nigeria.
@Therealclips-ib8bm there are those who pay the supreme sacrifice and also unsung heroines. Forget those with interior motives behind their struggles, just like those u see around the corridors of power today. U will also call them pillars of democracy i the next 15 years.
Nigeria democracy should be restructured and allowed to have a peaceful and positive effects on the national, state and to the grassroots level. And shouldn't be benefited alone by a certain group of individuals but felt and enjoy by all.
Re: Regional Government proposal: All these scholars, political scientists, etc, are or could be talking sense, and what is proposed could work. Also what we have in place now has been proved to work but is not working now. The reality is that both systems could work but when a system is not implemented as it should, and the people to implement it have no clue of the system then the population will think it is a failed system. Also if what is proposed is implemented it still won't work, cos the politicians to implement it would behave like starving people rushing for food and disregard all protocol to grab what's available for themselves, co-opt things to benefit only them, lie, steal, embezzle, rotate power, and hence another failed system. In summary what is proposed will not be what is practiced, just like the revised inec electorial constitution of a few years ago. The best thing to do is to adhere the law and the constitution and everything will fall in place. Simple!
President Goodluck Jonathan👏
Considering the magnitude of injustice, inequality and inequity going on in Nigeria, is Nigeria truly a democratic country ?
It is heading there; I pray wet get beyond these challenges
@schuku9912 The travesty going on in Nigeria gives no basis for optimism.
