Beisl is pronounced like "by +sl", the term "Beisl" is describing "a small pub or restaurant" but originally it was just "a small pub", and actually it is a "Yiddish term"...the "classical old Viennnese dialect" is full of Yiddish terms...therefore a Viennese familiar with "the classical old Viennese dialect" would understand a Yiddish speaker about fairly roughly 70% and a Viennese who is not familiar with the "classical old Viennese dialect" (=the younger Generations) would still understand roughly 40% maybe 50%
