We rehomed a puppy from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home!
We have been looking for a new dog to add to our family for a very long time, and by chance, miracle, divine intervention - we found Alfie!
He was being looked after by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home (www.battersea....) in Windsor after being surrendered by his previous owners. He does have some behavioural traits that haven't been trained out of him, so it is now our job to make sure he grows up to be a confident and happy boy.
Dogs like Alfie show how important it really is to research dogs and their training needs before buying a puppy or rehoming from a shelter. Alfie barks at other dogs and lunges at anything that moves past him quickly. These behaviours weren't addressed by his previous family, instead he was always picked up and removed from the situation. This has only enforced his behaviour, and is now embedded pretty deep.
To make sure he is fully secure on walks, he wears a full lead & harness set from Cocopup London (cocopuplondon....) with a tag on his collar from FlexiTags (www.flexitags..... He is also microchipped, but having ID on your dog is actually a legal requirement.
