Everyone is reacting to Brian Johnson era and the newer ACDC Live shows. They are missing out not reacting to The Bon Scott era. Brian is awesome But for me Bon is the essence of ACDC and rock n roll period. The Greatest frontman ever imo.BON FOREVER!
Couldn't agree more. Whilst the, 'live at River Plate', is a fantastic performance, those who pick the, 'greatest hits', selection from that and forgo the Bon Scott album versions, plus the album tracks therein, are really missing out, big time.
@@j0hnf_uk don't let the crowd throw you at the River Plate show . Yes , it's a good show . Although every artist playing at that ⚽🏟️ is that big . And during the ⚽ it's 10 bigger the crowd . River Plate ⚽ fans are wild , especially when it comes to playoffs or facing their biggest enemy Boca jr. I should know , I'm a River Plate ⚽ fan & been there many times .
That's the whole truth. The band is really having fun on this album. Some of the basslines are incredible, some great use of all the band's voices and they play with so many styles. Songwriting and arranging are probably their best on this. And it has a live feel!
I love that your going through this album! It’s pure gold! Can’t wait until the next one! I really love, Overdose, and Bad Boy Boogie on this Album. There is not a bad song on it. The live version of Let there be Rock from Glasgow, 1978, is one of the best live performances, I have ever seen.
The Bon Scott era is by far the better era of Ac/dc. Bons vocals, hard bluesy rock and great lyrics. Powerage is my favorite followed by Let there be Rock and Highway to hell. You should start at the beginning. Every Bon Scott album is a gem. It wasn't until Brian Johnson era they had any filler songs. Brian Johnson era is amazing as well no mistake.
Business man when you make a deal, do you know you can trust? Do you sign your life away do you write your name in dust......damn what killer lyrics man......
This song is even more powerful when you realise Bon Scott never really “made it” until his last album with AC/DC financially, and died with not a long of money in the bank. He was a true artist who lived and breathed it. My family used to know him when he lived in Adelaide, any my grandmother often fed him too!
Bon Scott was like a preacher.............eye for eye, tooth for tooth..........without Bon i would never had a youth and he made me a true rockin man and now i am 56 and get fucking crazy bout this 3 chords.....i am with you. There are no words for that thunder..............the background vocals and the rhythym guitar.....a nuclear attack
You need to watch them live,...Live in Glasgow 1978-79 is their tour for this album, brilliant! It's on the internet go for it brother! You will not regret it!
Definitely go back to the early ACDC with Bon Scott: Soul Stripper Little Lover Problem Child She’s Got Balls Squealer Ride on Rock ‘N’ Roll Singer Bad Boy Boogie Walk All Over You Touch Too Much If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It) And the whole Powerage album
Angus and Malcolm Young...there are no two brothers more accomplished in music than them. Waiting for a biopic or miniseries to be made about this iconic band!
Just subbed. Man...you find all the true gems. Keep it goin' my friend! Your doin' something special here. Don't know if you did it yet but, "The Jack" from If You Want Blood is a kick ass tune. The whole album is great but that song really shines.
like all of there songs, this is an exceptionaly well written song and It is so true Another must listen, is: its a long way to the top.I was around 9 years old when ACDC came on the scene here in Australia, and for the first time I heard them I was addicted. So, I was very lucky to grow with them and watch them become megastars. I have all of their 13 albums, and they are without a doubt, my all-time favorite band. I Just love to watch their WOW ! reaction and the instant smile and nodding of the head to the beat of their music, that these people on these reaction channels experience. It is testament to their incredible raw talent, and showmanship.
Man, you gotta go listen to some of the videos with Angus talking about when Bon Scott first pulled up for the audition. I'll see if I can't find it and give you the link. It's one of the best stories I've ever heard!
I have purchased 4 boxsets in my lifetime, and I have been a rock and roller for 45+ years. One of those boxsets was SRV, and we all know who that is, but another one was Bonfire. That boxset is a tribute to one of the greatest front men of all-time, Bon Scott (R.I.P.) and it is a fucking masterpiece.
I completely understand thoroughly enjoying AC/DC, and I admire that you've done some homework on the band...if you really want to read up on them, there's a book, AC/DC Maximum Rock & Roll, got tons of details on the band...they're my all time favorite band...I can't even pick a favorite album cause I love all of them...I hope you review every album track by track! Good series...new subscriber...RIP Bon & Malcom...Rock In Peace...
Great reaction. I’m glad you’re checking out this album. My personal favorite on this album is the title track. Let there be rock. But I love the whole Album. I’m glad you’re enjoying AC⚡️DC Rock on young man.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
first time today listening to ur reaction. I totally love it. I cry somtimes when feeling the good music. Maybe U did too, bro. Anyways, apprenticate ur content. Thank U. Greetings from sweden and Bon Scott is KING
Let There Be Rock is my favourite album, with Highway To Hell and Powerage being interchangeable close second/thirds. Favourite of this album has to be, 'Whole Lotta Rosie.' It's got everything. Album track wise, I also like, 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be', and, 'Bad Boy Boogie.'
Some good albums to listen to are Highway to Hell, Powerage, Let there be Rock, Back in Black, Flick of the Switch and Power Up. Those are their strongest albums in my opinion.
Singer Bon Scott wasn't an educated man, but he was smart. He knew his world. His lyrics hit the nail on the head, often in a tongue-in-cheek way. Scott was very good at double-entendres and all that went away after he died. When Scott was gone, AC/DC became 'just' another rock band, average to good with an occasional excellent song, but a far cry from what they were with Bon Scott at the helm.
All through the Bon era every album surpassed the previous one, you could see (hear) the progression. But I remember buying this album and putting it on the turntable and being completely blown away.
Powerage is a gr8 oldie, as is the entire Bon Scott collection. Enjoy your journey I'm with ya for the long ride. ROCK ON my friend. It's gonna be a kick ass ride.👊👍✌❤🎶🎧🕪🎤
Go to The High Voltage album BizMatik; you can’t start any earlier than that. The boys were just starting out and fighting for everything they were worth!!!!! Bonn was laying it on the line. Do listen to “It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock And Roll” with Bonn & the lads telling us about being sold second hand!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! Love you man!!!!! Keep on keeping on hombre!!!!🤘🤘🤩🤩😍😍🥳😎
What the young brothers are playing during the verses bon scott is singing (spitting fire) is total blues......the sound vanda and young did on this album and every album they produced is scary.......those 2 brothers were geniuses.....toronto
Yeah and AC/DC hadn’t made it yet when this was made, Bon was speaking from the soul. It wasn’t until highway to hell and then back in black (after he was dead) they became truly “big”. The label has said that ACDC’s record deal was supposedly the most lucrative in history. Something like 16 records, for very little. Crazy
Ya doing it right mate. To get to know where ACDC came from ya have to start at the beginning. Bon had some great lycs and a unique voice to match. Brian has done him proud since Bons death
Dudes like Little Richard got played by the record companies. Bonn scott loved little richard who was broke by the 1970s. Then Bonn write the record, dog eat dog. Scott would mike drop modern rock or rap stars cause little richard and james brown were his influences. He understood rhythm and blues and thats why early acdc was infectious. Its rhthym and blues some distorted boogie and some dope.
This was my first AC/DC album purchased, so it holds a special place. Love every song...But Whole Lotta Rosie is so raunchy...She's a whole lotta woman...Weighing in at 19 stone (266 pounds) 😎
Bon Scott was the man. When i first heard Highway to Hell from that point i went on to check out the other albums before that you wont be dissapointed i am 60 now it the best music.

Fr tho, it's all either Thunderstruck or River Plate, Bon's songs are just as good.
I’m all about the Bon Scott era AC/DC!
If you want the Bon experience , watch ACDC live in Paris 1979. The " Let There Be Rock " show .
@@j0hnf_uk don't let the crowd throw you at the River Plate show . Yes , it's a good show . Although every artist playing at that ⚽🏟️ is that big . And during the ⚽ it's 10 bigger the crowd . Nothing better than the Bon Scott era AC/DC.
Dave Evans was the best.
My favorite album was Powerage, every song rocked.
100%
1000%!
That's the whole truth. The band is really having fun on this album. Some of the basslines are incredible, some great use of all the band's voices and they play with so many styles. Songwriting and arranging are probably their best on this. And it has a live feel!
Riff raff song❤️

Phil being Phil killing the Drums. RIP Mal and Bon

Bon Scott is the final word, in Rock & Roll
And they admitted Bon may not have written all of Back in Black but they used his lyrics and notes.
Thanks for branching out and getting into some deeper AC/DC cuts 🤘👏
Business man when you make a deal, do you know you can trust? Do you sign your life away do you write your name in dust......damn what killer lyrics man......

Love the ringing and feedback of those early Marshall amps during those opening chords. The rawness of this entire album is fantastic. Nice reaction.
One of my top favs. Thanks, Enjoy this gem of album and song.
"Gone Shootin " POWERAGE
Powerage=Best album, for me. Disagree, you're wrong. Ha.
Sin City
What a band! They are pure energy with raucous power - You are reacting to their best album!
Hope this makes you want to react to all of Bon Scott’s albums 😉 You’ll have a lot of fun
You need to watch them live,...Live in Glasgow 1978-79 is their tour for this album, brilliant! It's on the internet go for it brother!
You will not regret it!
Anyone who doesn't listen to their Bon Scott days is really missing out on some good songs
My favorite album is Let There be Rock and my favorite track also is Let There be Rock
I found these guys in '78. So Bon was already the voice for me. Brian was a great vocalist too, but AC/DC for me is Scott.
Definitely go back to the early ACDC with Bon Scott:
Soul Stripper
Little Lover
Problem Child
She’s Got Balls
Squealer
Ride on
Rock ‘N’ Roll Singer
Bad Boy Boogie
Walk All Over You
Touch Too Much
If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)
And the whole Powerage album
MAAAAN.....This list is on FUCKING point.....
Oh my god....this is one of my favourite songs..........unbelievable energy man.....this is so damn raw hammer....carry on Brother........
Nothing better than ACDC in there prime. Wait till you get to the song Ride On!!! That's my favorite
You Rock Man, I rarely comment but you give new life to Great Song's that get forgotten, keep on a Rokin ❤
I loved the Bon Scott era of AC/DC and was fortunate to see the band live in concert only a few months before Bon passed away. Enjoyed the reaction.
Angus and Malcolm Young...there are no two brothers more accomplished in music than them. Waiting for a biopic or miniseries to be made about this iconic band!
Can’t wait for more!
It's the feeling of youthful exuberance that AC/DC arouses, that sets this band apart. ...especially in the Bon Scott era.
One of my favorite ac dc songs, love this whole album and all the bon scott era ac dc. The man is a fucking legend and was a badass.
Just subbed. Man...you find all the true gems. Keep it goin' my friend! Your doin' something special here.
Don't know if you did it yet but, "The Jack" from If You Want Blood is a kick ass tune. The whole album is great but that song really shines.
Now you know once listening to Bon , you're hooked !!! 🤙🎸. Bon was the front man of rock n roll . You still have a ways to go . Keep it up !!

Man, you gotta go listen to some of the videos with Angus talking about when Bon Scott first pulled up for the audition. I'll see if I can't find it and give you the link. It's one of the best stories I've ever heard!
I love you guys uniting this country. This is awesome.
This was my first AC/DC album in 1978 on cassette tape, still my favourite. Can’t pick a favourite track.
Biz, just discovered your channel. You have a gift for this my man. Keep it up and keep it real.
I appreciate that!
BizMatik as far as I know your the only one doing reactions that's doing a whole album! Thank you Brother
Quite overlooked and underrated track. It’s in my top 3 ac⚡️dc songs. Appreciate your appreciation. 🔥
ok... cool... heres two more for ya... Walk All Over You and Ride On..... peace
Love this album. One of my favourite Bon Scott era albums.
The solo in this song sounds so cool.

Exactly! "Highway to Hel"l and "Let there be Rock" are very hit-heavy. Almost every song on both albums is a classic.
Yeah that's my jam because that's what is working
Some good albums to listen to are Highway to Hell, Powerage, Let there be Rock, Back in Black, Flick of the Switch and Power Up.
Those are their strongest albums in my opinion.
One of the most underrated songs ever!!
Eat dog eat dog eat dog…..

Bit like the psalms, but the ruder ones that were dropped from the final edit.
Bons vocals are incredible on all the tracks on this album.
