    I was looking to see if there was a podcast about running alternate fuels right before Lenny started talking about the dog show veg oil 7.3 truck. I run waste motor oil in my 7.3 and it saves me between $12-15k a year in fuel. I have already upgraded to 238/100 injectors and it still performs amazing. I've still got my stock injectors if I ever did have an issue with the new ones but what i always told myself is that i save so much i could buy new injectors if i had to. I'm able to tow my 17k lb 5th wheel and daily drive a fun and fast truck.

    Kory from PPEI announced Duramax LM2 and 10 speed trans tuning coming in a couple of weeks. Can we get him on talking about that platform?

    I have a '13 LML, 225,000 miles with a sportsman CP3 and fleece in-tank lift pump. My balance rates are below +/-2.0. At what point is it not worth remanufacturing the injectors as opposed to purchasing a new set?

    Hopefully he's working on getting some cheaper sticks on the market, 4k for a new set is STIFF

      🤣 He said sticks after Lenny Said he hates it when people call them that.

      3700$ from Ford for a 6.7ps. Ide take a set of 4k injectors from this guy any day. Check out my questions above. I got what seems to be a bad injector not setting a DTC related. I’ve studied diesels for a year now searching for answers on a few things and Lenny is very on point with everything.

      @@garlandmeredith2039 yeah, that's great but the same price for 7.3 sticks is a bit out of hand.

      Why do you think that’s expensive? What injector are you comparing it to?

    Hi guys I have an injector question. 2020 6.7 ps, I’m using fords forescan to watch cylinder fuel balancing and the units are displayed in mg. They range from around +.375mg to -.62mg at idle. During a cell +.3-4 to -1.2 and that -1.2 being only 1 cylinder. I’ve got 3 showing to be pulling a bit more fuel than the others. The rest of the cylinders seem to stay much closer together. I also put a little extra Amsoil in and the cylinders came even closer together. Running Liqui moly purge through it now to see how she fares. I don’t know large of a difference that is for this system/motor/application. I’ve been chasing a dpf issue that spurred from a p2002 code and consistent 10% fuel in oil on oil test. This is why we test folks. Oil grows fast now, as in I can notate a difference in a 50 mile trip. SCR seems to stay running at idle when closed and open loop filter numbers range 0 to when it regens. Yesterday I smelled raw fuel and I’ve had a light grayish white smoke on startup I noticed. Today did a snap test at end of trip and got a little black poof. It seems to be leaking just enough to not set a directly related DTC.
    It could have been doing this longer just didn’t notice as I’ve cared for this truck religiously and didn’t forsee issues at 50k haha. No coolant issues. I believe it to be fuel injectors or a cracked dpf at this point. I’ve done manual regens, used Liqui moly flush, all worked well and numbers look fine on forescan as far as dpf related ones. As long as I keep my oil from growing my distance between regens is 500-600 miles and honestly I think it would be higher without the underlying issue. Concerns I have are that I did fuel filter changes outdoors and while I didn’t think it was an issue, I’ve come to learn the tolerances are at a 1 micron in these injectors meaning the average guys setup has no room for error and needs to be extremely clean. Any thoughts on how I can diagnose with just forescan?
    Do you guys offer 6.7 injectors yet? I wanted to hear someone’s thoughts on this before slinging money at it. Thanks for all the videos.

    I have a vp44 but I’m only getting 14-17psi on my fuel supply to it has an airdog lift pump. . Is that danger zone

    • @ryanhallidaho
      @ryanhallidaho ปีที่แล้ว

      You are good on those numbers. Danger would be below 5psi wide open 10psi is safe.

      Everything is on track for Diesel performance because new trucks are so expensive; old trucks continue to be a good option to upgrade. Complete rebuilds are still worth it.
