I love your shirt! A coworker called me a hoarder bc I asked the bar to save a really cool cherry yin for me (wanted to use it as a deco pot. :( But your shirt brought a big smile to my heart! Only plant people get it I swear!!!
Love your repotting videos !! This one was very helpful as I'm about to do some repotting. Question, why do you prefer plastic over clay pots? Thank you and take care.
Thank you! I love repotting! It’s a relaxing plant chore for me! ☺️ I do prefer plastic :) a lot of the time I just place the plastic in a nicer pot but I love how breathable it is with all the drainage holes.
Thank you, I guess Ive never thought about roots needing air. I did pick up some clear orchid pots with holes like you used with one of the plants un this video.
I just got my first Alocasia at Walmart today. It's an Alocasia Polly. Don't have a cabinet so hoping it will be happy in my care. Wish me luck! Love the repotting videos!
I make my own mix, here's a video I did on it. th-cam.com/video/Ifwz6dDe6Rw/w-d-xo.html I use sol soils houseplant mix as well solsoils.com/?sca_ref=2328891.XfjwYiEi24 (plantsbymelissa saves 10%)
Do your Calathea medallion come out of the dead, its leaves look different becoz when my medallion calathea loose its all big leaves, Its gives small leaves like urs, different wht it orginally looked leaves.
Mine usually root and grow within 2-4 weeks! It depends but they grow pretty fast it my cabinet under the lights and high temps inside. I linked my corm video in the description if you wanted to see my process! 😊
I really do like it so far! It’s a little too early to tell much but the plants I have it in are growing very well! I like that I can just water and not mix anything 😊
Your so elegant when you repot❤️🤩
Aw thank you! 🥰🤗

They should get bigger within time. I fertilize as long as they’re growing and make sure to give enough light to grow well 😊
@@plantsbymelissa k sure thanks for the information
Sorry if the footage seems dark or off. My camera was off settings this day for some reason 🙃
How long does it took you to grow an alocasia corm?
Mine usually root and grow within 2-4 weeks! It depends but they grow pretty fast it my cabinet under the lights and high temps inside. I linked my corm video in the description if you wanted to see my process! 😊
Oh that’s long.. ok I’m going to try it again 😊 I just found a corm from my black velvet and my polly. Thanks!
How do you like the slow release fertilizer? I was thinking of getting some of that brand you have!
