I am in the USA, I have been on bench more than 6 months, I just got assigned to a project 2 weeks ago in a different State form wher i live. I am ok with the project but my problem is moving to another state on a short notice, the other issue is family issue because I live with my parents. The training will be for 2 weeks starting December 18th and the project starts January 1st 2024. I can Rent a hotel for the training but I cannot go to work at the office. Do you advise me to go to training or not. Will I get terminated for refusing to go. I spoke to HR he said I have to go. My manager has not returned my call.
Hi, I completely understand your dilemma and situation. The only thing you can do is to convience your HR/Manager about your willingness and how excited you are to join the project. However , you should also let them know about your insecurities regarding moving to a different state on such a short notice. You can ask them to provide you with the accomodation or atleast give you a guarantee that your exoenses will be taken care by the organisation. The ultimate decision lies with the manager and HR. I am unfamiliar with the specific policies in the USA, but in india termination for this reason is unlikely. Hope it helps.

Hi, Work pressure solely depnds in your project. There is no rule that lateral hires would be made to work more, but yes as most knows that you are being paid more than them, so they will try to extract more work out of you. Hi, Firstly they will try to scare you and force you to work. They will give you warning. If you continue to do the same and you are lucky, your manager might release you. If your manager is stubborn and he along with HR plot against you, then they might stop your salary. It's always advisable to work, but smartly, don't stop work completely. Hi, Any sick leave more than 2 days requires a documented proof. I would suggest you to arrange a medical from some clinic. There are many wo provides it. Check whether you are able to withdraw leaves from ultimatix. If not then providing the proof is the only option left

If tcs is your dream company, then u have low standards, sorry but that's the way it is . Tcs , Infosys, wipro , tech Mahindra etc should be just stepping stone companies in your overall career growth . U should aim for captive centre's or product based companies after a few years or preferably after a decade plus service in service IT industry . Also it should be with a huge pay package (like 1 cr plus pay package if u are in upper mid level management or 50 lakhs plus atleast at senior technical level position) .

i have accpeted a new project in tcs . but now I don't want to work on that technology. wanted to continue my old technology.I conveyed same to hr and manager . in new project they onboarded me ,I deny to join now. HR is threatening me that everything is done you cant backout on last minute otherwise she will raise a concern against me. she is asking me to join. what should I do? i can ask to release right that I don't want to join this project. please reply

It will be very difficult to get released as you are already onbaorded and they might have started billing for you from the client.
However you may try your luck, maybe situation gets favourable and they release you.

@@dop353 I had to take the service desk project bro. It is like hell, full work no free time. Worse than labours exploitation. Dont take service desk project unless they have stopped ur pay. Dont sign any paper or anything just u will take any support porject but not service desk. It is the worst thing ever happened to me

Work pressure solely depnds in your project. There is no rule that lateral hires would be made to work more, but yes as most knows that you are being paid more than them, so they will try to extract more work out of you.
I would suggest you to be confident and focus on work after you join tcs.

You can avoid reporting to the base location immediately, but in the long run the RMG will force you to report to the base location.
You can always request them to allocate you to some RMG sho is at your nearest location.

Hi bhai, just now I have got a project, and now I am not liking the work, I had been told to work on abc technology but now they want to to work on some different technology other then abc,I have communicated the same to my manager and now my manager is involving/ escalating everything to HR. I have asked my manager about my release and he was like he is seeing options and he also said I am checking with hr as well , what does that mean ? I have stopped doing work, hr told me that she is going to take an update on my performance from my lead , and I am not doing anything at all, could you tell me the consequences if I continued doing the same … FYI I am having 3 years of experience, and I had served 1.5 year in my last project against my wish ..

Firstly they will try to scare you and force you to work. They will give you warning.
If you continue to do the same and you are lucky, your manager might release you.
If your manager is stubborn and he along with HR plot against you, then they might stop your salary.
It's always advisable to work, but smartly, don't stop work completely.

Any sick leave more than 2 days requires a documented proof.
I would suggest you to arrange a medical from some clinic. There are many wo provides it.
Check whether you are able to withdraw leaves from ultimatix.
If not then providing the proof is the only option left

Before joining tcs i recently worked for 2 yrs and another company i worked for 6 months. That was a internship during my college days. I didn't mention that in tcs employeement bgc. But hr didn't ask me anything. thirdparty those are doing bgc they asked me my relieving letter. Is they going to terminate me. Its been one year i m in tcs

If you were working for that company, while working with TCS then it can be problem.
If it was before working with TCS, then there will be no issues.

1- they give you bad rating/ band and release you from project.
2- they give you band rating/band and retain you in the project.
So it's full of uncertainty. However that's the pathway for getting release and it's tried and tested.

If you have joined tcs after your sabbatical, then your year of experience will be counted as 4.
However please note your number of LWP days will be mentioned in the service certificate.

If tcs is your dream company, then u have low standards, sorry but that's the way it is .
Tcs , Infosys, wipro , tech Mahindra etc should be just stepping stone companies in your overall career growth . U should aim for captive centre's or product based companies after a few years or preferably after a decade plus service in service IT industry .
Also it should be with a huge pay package (like 1 cr plus pay package if u are in upper mid level management or 50 lakhs plus atleast at senior technical level position) .

Hi bhai, just now I have got a project, and now I am not liking the work, I had been told to work on abc technology but now they want to to work on some different technology other then abc,I have communicated the same to my manager and now my manager is involving/ escalating everything to HR. I have asked my manager about my release and he was like he is seeing options and he also said I am checking with hr as well , what does that mean ? I have stopped doing work, hr told me that she is going to take an update on my performance from my lead , and I am not doing anything at all, could you tell me the consequences if I continued doing the same … FYI I am having 3 years of experience, and I had served 1.5 year in my last project against my wish ..

Firstly they will try to scare you and force you to work. They will give you warning.
If you continue to do the same and you are lucky, your manager might release you.
If your manager is stubborn and he along with HR plot against you, then they might stop your salary.
It's always advisable to work, but smartly, don't stop work completely.
See how the things unfold and act accordingly.

@@ManishJamwal thanks bhai, now manager is asking me to give weekly update to HR, what does that mean now, he is involving hr in each and everything , what a incompetent manager !! Bhai what should I do as I have zero interest in this work which is getting assigned to me .. I have been in the same situation before and now again I don’t want to be in then same situation… I am little scared as well , although I am doing little bit of work but that’s not enough as per them ..
