This may be just what I needed. I'm autistic, so certain types of unfamiliar social cues typically don't register for me. Recently however, someone I've known for quite a while said something that came off as being almost excessively defensive on my behalf. It just seemed weird at the time due to the joking nature of the conversation, but after I thought about it, they've been making an effort to hangout with me much more in the last two months. Maybe these are the signs I should be looking for.

Went a solid 4 months with the both of us being crazy over the other while being too polite and hesitant to do/say anything, other than the smallest sparse gestures to try and confirm what the other was thinking/feeling. We were both too cautious to let enough slip through the cracks, so that the other couldn’t confidently catch on. Lost my nerve at 4 months and asked, and both dams quickly burst. We’ve been together for almost 7 now. I’m glad I finally said something… if you’re in a situation like I was, take this as a sign to say something.
I'm glad it worked out for you. I am crazy about a guy at work and I think he feels similarly, but I can never get him alone to ask and I don't know how to go about it. I get so nervous because I don't want to make him uncomfortable if i'm wrong.

But in the end (I know its cheap what imma bout to say) if u dont ask u will certainly find yourself regretting this later on in your life. I wish you only the best and I hope for you to find the bravery to ask him out :). And remember even if you are wrong about his feelings, it will mostly just make him feel good anyways. Furthermore, you dont have to tell him you love him in an instant. Just ask him if he wants to go out for dinner or something :)

as a completely blind person, you would think #3 would not apply to me, but interestingly enough, a lot of times I can tell and feel when my date is looking at me and I would just look back at them like a sighted person and they would always be surprised and say how did you know I was looking at you, it's pretty easy really, especially if they are talking because sound as we know it is directional - that's how I know haha, but I don't say anything and just play it off ... what's up with #6, am I just that traditional? Yes I text message, especially when my friends or my dates are a lot younger, but I still call everyone, it has a more personal touch to talk to somebody in person and meet up and catch up and if not allowable, like in my situation nowadays I would say, to talk on the phone is still preferred, some people even want to do video chat which has no effect on me but I don't mind because the audio quality is typically better (text messaging does have its benefits that you can do it while doing some other things when/where you can't talk)

There’s this girl in my period 6 (not giving the name.) and very recently we became friends because she complimented me about my style, 2 days in a row. After school was over she asked if we could be friends. I said yes, and unexpectedly she hugged me. So here's the thing: I talked to him, and after we talked, he went out to the bathroom, and when he got back, he talked to another friend about what we discussed, and he was like, Aren't you the one I was talking to? Honestly, from experience, I’m not totally sure if it’s possible to just uncrush someone. Either, finding someone else who you think is better for you may do the trick, or moving I guess. I’ve tried to uncrush and I’m still trying, but I guess I just can’t help it.
Maybe try to think about the bad stuff about him? Or imagine gross/bad things about him? Its hard to "uncrush", and in my personal experience when I tried I just ended up liking them more lol
